I really wanted to like this place. The waiter was old and didn’t care. Ordering a glass of wine was difficult, getting a side of horseradish was impossible. Food was OK. Kinda old style meat & potatoes place, no frills for sure. The sweat potato was AMAZING, the Fresh Fish was OK, but way too much sauce. The Prime Rib was pretty good and cooked as ordered. Chianti was good, Chardonnay was not. Would I go back? Probably not

Overall a really nice dining experience. We had never been there and our server Kevin was fabulous in explaining the history of the restaurant and menu. The variety is crazy!! Everything was cooked really nicely with good flavors. We will for sure be back.

Best kept secret in Houston! Service is always top notch. Food is off the charts. It’s me and my bfs go to when we want a nice good delicious dinner. Portions are great for the price. We happened to go for steak night got a round a drinks apps and two steaks for $150. (more than we usually spend there) But everything is sooo delicious & there is truly something for everyone on the menu. The TVs are a nice touch also.

1st Let Me Say This Was My 1st Visit. I Loved The Atmosphere & The Service. Everyone Was Very Attentive, Pleasent, And Very Informative On Menu Items. I Had The Shrimp & Fries. The Fries Were Wonderful But The Shrimp Were Missing A Little Something I Can't Put My Finger On It. The Birthday Brownie (Topped With Vanilla Ice Cream) Was Moist And Delicious! I Will Return To Try Other Menu Items.

I had a lovely dining experience on Thursday, August 22, 2024. I was warmly greeted at the hostess stand and then my server Kevin took my experience to a whole other level. He was so personable and fun to interact with during my solo dinner. He had great food suggestions and gave me the same attention as a solo diner that he gave his other guest. I asked to speak to a manager when my meal was complete. Edgar came over and he was also super personable as I gave him my rave review of my experience and told him they are now tied with their sister restaurant El Tiempo as my favorites. The food was soooo good! The crab fingers had a nice flavor and kick. The crab cakes were very meaty and filling. The chipotle chicken pizza makes me not want to order a chicken pizza from anyone else again. If you are reading this review and debating if you should try Laurenzo’s do yourself a favor and go NOW! You will not be disappointed.

The different kinds of warm bread and butter begin the experience. I went with a 16oz Prime Rib (medium) with Asparagus. It was delicious. The atmosphere was comfortable for a solo lunch diner. Definitely 5 ⭐!
