Guard and Grace - Houston

Went to Guard & Grace for a birthday dinner. Love the atmosphere of the restaurant. The bartender was nice and very helpful, staff was great despite the restaurant being very busy on the night we were there. The food was a hit and miss with some of the dishes we had. The sides are shareable something we wasn't told. Oxtail dumplings and filet fight were amazing. The pork chop is pretty big and once she cut into it, we noticed it wasn't cooked all the way and had it sent back, and it was still undercooked. It's probably best served sliced. Drinks and vibes were good.

This has to be one of the best Halal Steakhouses in Houston! We had a great time dining in, from the ambience to the menu, everything was spot on! The server, Tray, was very friendly and accommodating. We requested that they insure that our food had no cross-contamination and they made sure of it! The service was top notch and everyone was super friendly! The steaks were well seasoned and tasted amazing! I would definitely recommend the gnocchi’s as a side option. Overall, a wonderful and well rounded off experience at a steakhouse that caters halal!

She was warm, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed, making our evening feel incredibly special. To cap off the meal, we enjoyed the chocolate cake, which was the perfect blend of light and decadent. The drizzle of caramel was the cherry on top, leaving us hooked and craving more. Guard and Grace truly provided an unforgettable dining experience. Highly recommended!

What really made the night was our server Brittany. She really made our night with her attentiveness, active listening, and banter. We had a great time. The meat was beyond amazing, complimented by every other dish. We came mid week so the business crowd was in full effect, though that was to be expected in downtown Houston on a Wednesday night. The long and short is that we had an amazing time. Phenomenal food and drinks, and over the top service with Brittany. This really made our night special.

I had the absolute pleasure of dining here this past weekend on our first trip to Houston. The restaurant itself is stunning and is in a great location. Our server Jose was extremely attentive and not once did I feel like me or my friend’s needs were not being met. The food + drinks were top notch and I did not regret a single item I ordered. The towels at the end truly capped off a great experience. Would 1000% recommend if you have not been or are debating going somewhere else. Ask for Jose and you will have no issues and a high quality experience!

From the service to the immaculate decor and ambiance not to mention the food - it was all top-notch! We ate family style and shared everything. The filet flight was delicious and cooked to perfection. The sides were huge portions. The brussels sprouts and mac & cheese paired perfectly with the steak. The sushi roll special and the crispy spicy tuna were surprisingly good being that this wasn’t a sushi restaurant. Apparently, these special cookies are provided complementary during lunch, but we asked for them for our dessert and they made our dreams come true! The triple chocolate cookie was warm and juicy, and was topped with salt for that sweet and savory scrumptiousness. The service was impeccable as well. I will definitely come back here and sacrifice my frustration with downtown parking HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!
