This place is a vibe. For starters I recommend coming for happy hour to try a few of the drinks. I had the French 76, chefs kiss. It says they use Cliquot but I don’t think they do during the happy hour. My meal was good. My friend ordered the lobster pasta, I do think it’s overpriced but the presentation is beautiful. I love the way the Caesar salad is prepared. I don’t think it’s everything seem grated croutons and the lettuce laid out in this way. It’s definitely much easier to consume. Don’t skip on the dessert and there’s a wine menu. The cakes are easily 5 layers! There is very limited street parking but there is valet. The valet is cash only.

Dining at Drake's Hollywood restaurant tonight for our anniversary was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we stepped in, the ambiance was both inviting and elegant, setting the perfect tone for our celebration. Our waiter, Charles, was an absolute delight--attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly. He made us feel so welcome and ensured every detail of our meal was flawless. We started with the cocktails: the espresso martini was smooth and perfectly balanced, while the old fashioned had just the right amount of sweetness and bite. Both were expertly crafted and set a high bar for the rest of the evening. The snow crab scampi was a standout--a delicate and flavorful dish that paired beautifully with the Caesar salad, which was fresh, crisp, and generously dressed. For the main course, we opted for the Delmonico steak, and it was exceptional--juicy, tender, and full of flavor. The loaded mashed potatoes were the perfect complement, creamy and rich with just the right amount of decadence. From the food to the impeccable service, Drake's Hollywood made our anniversary dinner one to remember. We'll definitely be back!

Beautiful place to visit with great service! We are not celebrities and appreciate our waiter treating us so kindly. 🫶 Everything was shareable making it an affordable meal. However, we decided to indulge a bit, ordered one cold appetizer (artichoke), one hot appetizer (crab), Cesar salad, te NY strip, salmon, and 2 desserts but they gave us 3 ❤️ Cesar salad was crispy and very authentic. The artichokes were a nice blend of salty and tanginess. The NY strip was HUGE! Shared between 3 people, and we still had a good portion leftover for me to make tacos for everyone! The 24 layer strawberry cake was so tall, and delicious! The Banana Foster was good but the least favorite part of our meal. Our favorites? 🏆 The Salmon with its seared edges and the cotton candy! That cotton candy was absolutely beautiful and so soft you wished you could take a nap on it! Anyways, only valet parking ($10), go early, great wine selection even though I couldn't indulge, plan your visit, and SHARE your meal to take full advantage of all that this place has to offer.

Came here on a Friday evening to celebrate my friends birthday. We were greeted and sat promptly. The service was excellent. Our sever was very knowledgeable on the menu and made great recommendations. The food was delicious. My favorite appetizer was the lobster escargot. The ambience here is grown and sexy. Loved every second of our experience. Will def be back for a date night very soon.

The food and vibe was good but worth the bad management and hostess crew? I can’t be too sure. We had a reservation for 8:30 pm. My friend from Miami, who is visiting, arrived at 8:16. They “don’t seat incomplete parties” so my friend waited at the bar. I arrived at 8:34 and was asked to join her because our table wasn’t ready. After about 15 minutes, we went to the hostess a few times to ask about our table. After requesting to speak to the manager who was completely rude, we were sat at 8:57 pm. I’ve never had a similar experience in an equally nice restaurant in Miami or New York. This is Houston, there are plenty of amazing restaurants that also offer the southern hospitality and kindness. You are in the hospitality business and there were multiple tables that were empty where we could have been sat. It’s a Tuesday night and we had a reservation. If you’re banking on remaining the hot restaurant, I’ll reiterate, it’s Houston. The next hottest restaurant will open next week. To remain relevant, you have to deliver a great product consistently but also make people want to spend their money at your business. You definitely didn’t deliver on the second part.

The food was amazing, from the starters, the salad, the entrees were phenomenal, and the desserts were so fun. The banana Foster’s cheesecake, and the cotton candy tower. Roman our waiter was super great, and made the best suggestions for drinks. Also wanted to add, the look and feel of the restaurant was spot on for old. Hollywood vibe. I love the story of how the restaurant got its name and how the wallpaper in the restrooms tied into it.

We celebrated a friend’s birthday here, and it was a wonderful experience. The restaurant has a stunning old Hollywood atmosphere, perfect for a special night out. We shared a variety of dishes, and everything was fantastic! The 24-layer strawberry cake was a standout—absolutely delicious. The only downside was a bit of a wait for our drinks, so I’d suggest ordering your next round when your first arrives.

We absolutely loved our first visit to Drake’s. Charles was our server and he was incredible. Attentive and kind and gave great recommendations. We loved our meal and, while at dinner, booked to come back next weekend. Pasta Zaza was incredible with a good spice. The chocolate silk pie - so good. The Bleu and gold might be my favorite dirty martini in Houston. We loved it.
