As someone in the industry, it was easy to spot that much of the food comes from pre-made products, which was disappointing. The “arrachera” is clearly a pre-marinated fajita product, and the shrimp served alongside it didn’t add much to the experience. To make things worse, the mushrooms were just sad—lacking flavor, texture, or anything that would make them worth ordering. What’s even more frustrating is the pricing—it’s noticeably higher than it should be for the quality of food being served. The interior facade sets a certain expectation, especially given its downtown location surrounded by other restaurants with similar prices but far better execution. To top it off, the silverware was dirty and unpolished, adding to the overall lack of attention to detail. If you’re just here for cocktails, they’re okay at best, but definitely not enough to redeem the meal. The atmosphere was pleasant, but unfortunately, the food and service didn’t live up to it. There are far better options nearby.

First time here & im always excited to try new places! My husband & I ordered 8oz steak & he had a 12oz. Yet they still charged us the same price. Then they forgot to add his sautéed onions w/mushrooms. His steak was rare instead of medium rare. Very disappointing. As you can see his plate was not appetizing at all. Plates are way to big for what its being served. My meal was excellent! With this experience we definitely need to think hard to come back. If waiters need to pay attention to what they are charging. Our wait time for food was way to long. Its insane. But the atmosphere was beautiful & glad they put up heaters lol. Maybe we can come back only for drinks no food. Hoping for the best!

I have been to this place for brunch 3 times already! Service has been great , wait staff has been excellent! I also spoke to the owner and he was very nice!

I have not had the pleasure of going yet, but I'm sure I'm going to make it very special for myself when I end up paying them a visit. I feel great to have witnessed the construction and reforming of this business. I can't wait to visit and try their delicacies. I'm sorry, but I said that 👆 up there just yesterday and rated you 5 stars without even knowing for a fact, and today I woke reading a disappointing story from my friend who decided to celebrate her anniversary at NYBS just yesterday. I feel a bit responsible for her and her husband's experience. I went on talking wonders about your place and sent them pictures of the new restaurant in town. Today I saw pictures of their $170 plates, and her description of the quality of food was unexpected from my end. I gave a good rating to this restaurant thinking the people would care to provide good quality of food to match their price. I'm sorry they left regretting their visit. I really wish new entrepreneurs who came downtown to open businesses, especially in the food industry, would offer what they'd love to be presented with on a special date, anniversary or simple event in an excellent manner. Just by seeing those plain but burnt marshmallows and sliced "steak" if not fajita...I don't think I can keep yesterday's rating. I kept talking wonders about your business and the possibilities of it being great. We grew up with Mexican traditional meats cooked inside our kitchen, out on the grill, cooked in a pozo, etc. Whatever you want to call us or our upbringing, your opinion is respected but mine is valid too. I speak for my friend. We know what's good. You are not going to fool us here. Our pallete and our taste buds know best. I'm sure she won't be going back. The drinks did look good though...but there's plenty of bars downtown already. Please work on providing the best quality to your customers.

We enjoyed the ambiance, and the service was excellent. The staff was well-versed with the menu and provided great recommendations. They had an array of drinks that we each enjoyed. One of the owners was available to answer questions about the possibility of hosting private parties because the location lends itself for various occasions. We loved it! I highly recommend to try this place…it’s a great addition to our downtown area. On a side note…some of the staff members were around taking photos, and they captured a great moment. I asked for the picture to be sent to me privately, and they accommodated my request.

I came here a few weeks back. I loved they opened a new restaurant in Brownsville. However, the steaks had zero flavor, the sides seemed to be out of the box. Nothing really seemed freshly made. Our server was amazing, but other than that It was underwhelming. The atmosphere seemed fun outside though

Honestly so disappointed with everything here. The food for the prices does not meet up to expectations at all. The service was horrible: so slow and our server would barely check up on us. He got our orders wrong TWICE and we had to wait an extra 20 minutes for one plate. The atmosphere is nice but really just expected more.
