Saltgrass Steak House

Busy and no attention to detail. We sat in a booth where the table was clean, but food left on the seat. Our waiters was kind and attentive. I ordered a drink, and the wrong champagne was brought out with a dirty glass. I asked for a new glass, and after poured it, I realized it was wrong. They have it to me for the price i ordered. Our steak and broccoli came out cold. They remade it. The manager came over and apologized and offered us a dessert. We are not eating dessert, so we declined. Nothing else was offered and we were forgotten about since it was rodeo weekend. Disappointed since the ratings were good. The food was decent once we got it, but nothing was spectacular.

I had a tender juicy ribeye here. Great waitresses and drinks with a fantastic steak dinner made this restaurant well worth stopping in for dinner. We will definitely come back again next time through.

We chanced on this exceptional eatery when we were passing through Amarillo on a Texas/New Mexico road trip. It was so good the first time we returned for a repeat visit. The happy hour from 3-7 offered some extensive options. The meals were exquisite. The bar tenders were attentive and service second to none.

Dining Experience was on September 11, 2024: My server, Isabel, was outstanding, and the food was amazing. I have eaten at several Saltgrass locations during my travels and this is the best one so far! Highly Recommend stopping at while in Amarillo.

So good! The hostess sat us immediately, and offered to sit us in the bar area when she heard me mention watching the game that was on. Our waitress was attentive and so friendly, even recommended things to me , since I may or may not have trouble deciding, sometimes. My Cranberry salad was one of the best salads I've ever had. Our strip steaks were cooked perfectly, baked potatoes were hot, and we shared the carrot cake for dessert. They made a fresh pot of coffee just for us, and it was delicious too! Highly recommend this steakhouse!

We had such a long drive weathering the strong wind and low viability and all we wanted was to rest and have since MUCH needed drinks and some good food... Alexa was SUPER attentive she got us our drinks and delicious salads and after a mishap in the kitchen with our entrees which she was on top of (the awesome manager helped us with that) we had the MOST delicious chicken fried chicken and filet Oscar!! 10/10 wouldn't be high enough!! Thank you thank you!!!

This was the absolute BEST dinner we've had in a very long time!! The filet trio was melt-in-your-mouth superb. The crabcakes I'm now engaged to, I think. And the sirloin was the best ever. Add on great drinks & dessert and outstanding service, and you couldn't ask for a better night out!

Nice music, low enough for conversation to be had. Perfectly cooked steak, both their baked potato and tortilla soups were amazing. The waitress was amazing. She gave amazing service and her recommended drinks and steak were perfect.
