About Cask & Cork - steak house in Amarillo, Texas
Customer Review Summary
Cask & Cork offers a varied dining experience with a good atmosphere but inconsistent food quality. Some guests found the steaks and certain dishes like the lobster pasta delicious, while others were disappointed with dry desserts and underwhelming sides like Parmesan fries. Service was generally friendly and attentive, with specific praise for servers like Marcus, but there were incidents of poor service, including a server who appeared intoxicated. The ambiance is appreciated, especially the rooftop seating, although some noted issues like flies and limited shade. Overall, it’s recommended for brunch and dinner, but experiences may vary.

We eat here a few months ago for our anniversary. First time being here. It was ok. Wasn’t over the moon impressed. We didn’t have reservations but got there when They opened and were able to be seated upstairs. Ambiance was good. Service was friendly and acceptable. Food was good but we’ve had better. Especially for the price. Parmesan Fries very underwhelming. We’ve definitely had better. The wrap wasn’t bad. Sweet potato fries were good. Husband liked the meatloaf but “it’s not as good as your mom’s”. Dessert … cake was dry.

Went recently for a girls night and the special filet steak and twice baked potato was fantastic. We were all excited to try the dessert special: chocolate cake with strawberry sorbet, and it was a massive let down. The cake tasted extremely dry, like it had all been assembled the day before and set in the freezer all day. We relayed this to our lovely waitress and she comped the dessert from all of our tickets as we only were able to take a couple bites each. The lavender mule was just as delicious as I remember it being the last time I had it. I'll be back for the steak and drinks!

My wife and I have always enjoyed Cask and Cork. The atmosphere and dining experience has always been exceptional. We ate there on 2/13/25 and Marcus was our server. He had a warm greeting, was very attentive and met our needs. We will request him the next time we go and encourage anyone to request him. He was great at his job. Thank you Marcus!

We popped in for a snack and cocktail. The atmosphere is really cool. We sat on the rooftop, unfortunately weather did not permit the full patio experience. It’s still easy to imagine a beautiful sunset from this rooftop. Our server was nice and attentive. I ordered the Silk Road (pictured, hopefully 🤣) it was different. It was not bad but unusual. Not my fav but it could be someone’s! I had the western lemonade. 👍🏽👍🏽 we had the sticky chicken fingers. They were 💯💯! So good. Next we have a pizza to go. Stay tuned for my review on pizza!! Still TBD

Staying overnight and was looking for a good meal and a drink. This place fit the bill. Atmosphere is great, especially the 2nd floor. Food prices are reasonable considering the quality. Mixed drinks were creative, but pricey. Wines were 3 times retail which is rather high.

Order a Lobster Pasta for myself, it's pretty delicious! The service is also on point. The only complaints are the flies and the lack of shade on the balcony .

A few weeks ago, I came to eat here with my fiancé and future in laws for brunch. I liked that the restaurant was not too busy and very calming. First of all, the service from wait staff was quite excellent. Our server was very understanding, cordial and patient with us and deserved a generous tip. The food was absolutely delicious. I know that for right now, Amarillo doesn’t have the different unique restaurants as does Lubbock for pretty much every category, but having a place like Cask and Cork really does Amarillo a solid. Something other than the usual IHOP, Waffle House or even Jimmy’s Egg. I personally had the Country Benedict. Cooked very well and outstanding in presentation. Along with that I was able to eat some of the French toast which was also delicious. All around the table, I don’t think one bad thing was said about any of the food or drinks that we had. The coffee was tasteful and not bland like in other places, and the mimosas were mixed well. Overall, I do recommend this place as a good place for brunch or breakfast if you’re looking for something on Sunday after church or throughout the week.

Food and drink are tremendous. We had the specials (steak and fish) and they were excellent. Compliments to the chef. However, our server, Jen, was clearly drunk. We could smell her breath, and she was slurring very heavily. Multiple times we also watched her insult and otherwise belittle the staff members she was working with. Very uncomfortable situation for me and my partner.
