Cool spot for cocktails and dinner. Don't let the back ally location scare you off!!! It's a good spot to dine, but it's busy, so reservations probably help. Enjoyed a solo dinner here seated at the bar. Flat iron steak was cooked to perfection medium rare for me. Would have been nice to have a small slice of bread or??? to go along with the steak and peppers. Service was decent but could have been a little more friendly banter from the bartender. A check in on how dinner was didn't happen till almost the end of my meal. Still a decent experience and I would try it again.

A special Fine Dining restaurant. It is worth the short walk down the alley to enjoy this gem. Thanks to Chef Chris and his culinary virtuosos for our special dinner. We loved the salad, the clams and the lamb chops. Really, eating does not get better than this. No gimmicks, just wonderful food and kitchen watching. No theater, no drama, no yelling Gordon Ramsay could learn from Chris on how to properly manage a kitchen. It compares to Coos Bay's Restaurant O which we enjoyed on a trip up the Oregon Coast. Thanks guys!

I’ve been here three times, and I can guarantee that this place is my go-to restaurant. Especially their crispy brussels sprouts got me crazy. And I don’t want to forget to mention the chocolate molten cake🤌🏻🤌🏻🤌🏻literally the best dessert! The first time I went was to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday and they even gave us a chocolate cupcake which was really delicious as well! The paella is only available on Wednesday by ordering ahead. OMG, I can’t wait to introduce more people to this amazing restaurant. The scallops are so fresh and delicious, the shrimp, calms…my mouth is watering while typing this. The rice is not salty at all, NOT SALTY. One thing to mention is that, during my recent visit, the brussels sprouts isn’t what I was expecting. It was soggy, the sauce was too much. I told this to our server and she gave us 100% discount on that dish. It was such a great customer service. I would definitely go back for another plate of paella.

We had dinner here for our 12th anniversary, and it was so enjoyable. I had researched nicer restaurants for our special date, and this was open on Sundays but also intriguing since we've never tried a Spanish restaurant. It felt so touristy and charming to walk down the alley to this hole-in-the-wall restaurant, and when you come in, the atmosphere is so relaxing. Felt transported like we were not in Salem anymore haha. Staff was friendly and good, and food was so delicious! Would definitely come back occasionally for special dates. We tried the bacon wrapped dates, brioche bread, prawns, salmon, and steak (non-spicy one). Cherry cider & IPA, and banana cake (loaf).

Cozy Taberna Best experience I've had at this place so far. My wife and I showed up for happy hour, and we were told they didn't have any seating available inside, so we elected to sit outside. It was mildly cold, rainy, and windy. Shortly after we sat down and ordered, we regretted sitting outside, so I walked in and asked if they could let us know if any seats open up at the bar so we could sit inside. As I was asking the host about this, the owner Bill walked up and asked how everything was going. I explained, and with a smile on his face, he said they would gladly seat us in their lounge downstairs, which was closed by the way when we first walked in. After Bill left to get the table ready himself, the host apologized and said, "I didn't realize the lounge was open." We didn't ask for them to do this, but the owqner gladly offered a level of hospitality that I haven't seen before and opened up their lounge just for us. He introduced himself, we shook hands, and he escorted us down there himself with great generosity and kindness. We were the only ones they let down there, and Bill really created a special moment for us for what was supposed to be a casual happy hour night out. I don't know what prompted him to give us what felt like "special treatment," but it's thing like this that really make me want to let everyone know how special this place is and continue to go back and support them. Because of the generosity, we stayed longer than planned and ordered a second round of drinks and more food. At one point during our meal, his nephew walked down and greeted us. He asked if we had any gripes about the restaurant, which we did not, and we had a friendly chat before he left. The drinks were great and the food was delicious. The meatball dish look like baby food in the picture, but it tasted so good. 10/10 across the board.

To start off I had the prawns which had a great fresh cooked garlic finish. Up was cozy harvest salad, which remained true to the menu; fresh & light. The black squid pasta was by far a must get as a side or appetizer. Unique, flavorful, and bold. While I had no complaints on the pork chop, the Lamb chops were cooked perfectly and were the best I ever had. I would 100 % take any lady for a night out at this amazing restaurant. I only give 4 on atmosphere as there is no way to block shade in some portions of the restaurant. A+ for service dog ♿️ accommodations. Per usual, with any well known restaurants with amazing dishes, reservations are important.

Amazing meal, the selection on the menu was outstanding, clams and prawns were so delicious. Wait, then the brussel sprouts came out-best ever! Cedar plank salmon for the entree was a large portion and perfectly cooked. Dessert was the Spanish French Toast, served over a cream base, perfect way to end the best meal! The service was very genuine and timely for each course, we had the best server. She assisted with our wine selection and shared her favorite appetizers, which we enjoyed!

Brought in some friends for the brunch service and we all loved it! Our server Kalli was wonderful and very attentive throughout our whole meal! The cooks did a great job with all of our meals and our hostess was so kind! Definitely the best service I’ve had in a long time!
