Customer Review Summary

Best Little Roadhouse has garnered mixed reviews from patrons. Some diners praised it for great service, delicious food, and a lively atmosphere. One reviewer mentioned they had to circle back for a parking spot but found the experience rewarding with reasonable prices. However, there were notable complaints regarding service quality, particularly with one server who displayed a rude attitude. Food quality has also been criticized, especially for the steak, which was described as chewy and lacking flavor compared to past visits. On the other hand, some dishes like the baby back ribs and house-baked bread received positive remarks. Overall, while there are fans of the restaurant, concerns about service consistency and food quality remain.

Came to Portland for a quick getaway and was not sure what to eat tonight. I went from Seafood to Mexican to steaks. This place got good reviews so I thought I would give it a try. Pulled into the parking lot and it was full. Disappointed I left pulled around the corner to google other restaurants. But I really had my heart set on the Best Little Roadhouse. So I circled around the block again, turned back into the parking lot and was fortunate enough to get a parking space! Trust me, this place did not disappoint! Great service. reasonably priced and food…truly was a win win!

Hello On feb 28th time 12:22 Our server Lara We had taken out my dad for his birthday and we were hoping for a good meal and day out, but that didn’t turn out so well. Lara our server was bit rude , attitude was not as it should be. Didn’t get refills on the bread, or clean off our table as plates pilled, her demeanor was very off putting and made our day out very uncomfortable. For as much as we spent and still tipped her when we shouldn’t have. This became a bad experience! I did write your website on the matter and should be addressed to Lara. But thank you for making our experience negative when it should of been a positive one!!

My first time being here. It was very good service and food. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meal.

Overall service was good. Garden salad - good ranch dressing. Pulled pork was a bit dry, could use sauce. sweet potato fries - would be better with an aioli sauce. Coleslaw was a bit bland. Yeast rolls and honey butter were good. Meatballs were very spicy. Chicken sandwich and fries were good . Unfortunately was out of banana liquor for their main drink.

What a little gem! The food was delicious and the service was great. We went on a Saturday, so it was definitely busy, but got in pretty quick. Steak was perfectly done and the sides were good too. Will be back when I'm back in town.

Came in for a steak and burger, left very unsatisfied with food and service. Burger was slapped together, cold buns. Steak order was wrong. Service was not fluid and attentive. Had to get up twice to find Server to correct order, get utensils, and condiments.

This has been one of our favorite restaurants for steak and ribs over the last few years. We supported them weekly throughout the pandemic and they were one of only a few restaurants that their food didn’t lose quality if you ordered takeout. However the last few times we’ve eaten here, there is a noticeable change in the quality of the steak, while the prices have gone up. We paid $85 before tip for 2 Ribeye steak dinners and an order of hot wings. Now, I am one who doesn’t mind paying for high quality food, but I am not okay paying this price for the quality we received. It was equivalent to an Applebee’s Ribeye, chewy with gristle but at a much higher price. It also lacked significant flavor which is hard to do with Ribeye and I had to put a ton of salt and pepper on it. Even the blue cheese dressing I put on it, wasn’t enough to give it a lot of flavor. My loaded garlic mashed potatoes were delicious as always, as was the salad and rolls with honey butter. My hubby’s veggies were also delicious and thankfully not as al dente as they normally are, but not mushy either. Our Buffalo wings were also a disappointment as they weren’t spicy and barely covered in sauce. Overall, we enjoyed our meal, but it was very average and much more comparable to an Applebees dinner we could have gotten for much cheaper. I will say their Baby Back Ribs are still amazing. I wished I had ordered them instead last night. I would still highly recommend them. I just would no longer recommend the Ribeye steak, which used to be my favorite entree. The restaurant has a great vibe and is perfect for a date night of dinner and mini golf. But if you want an amazing steak, I would recommend Paradiso at the Grand Theatre, Rudy’s, or Chira’s. My rating is based on our most recent experience. I will update it if the experience improves or worsens. Please 👍 if this review was helpful.
