We went here for a nice cozy girls' night out. It was perfect. We arrived early and sat at the bar until our table was ready. The bartender who was taking care of us was great. Once our party arrived we were seated to our table. The restaurant atmosphere is beautiful and so inviting. I love that it is an upscale restaurant without a dress code. Come as you are. So cozy. Now the food was so delicious and delightful. If you are in the area, definitely call and try to get a reservation. The staff here are so great and go above and beyond to make sure you have the perfect night. Hope to be back someday soon.

Given the reviews and the history I went in with high expectations but unfortunately left a bit disappointed. Let's start with the good: - service was impeccable: everything was tell timed, well balanced, and super considerate - drink selection: my brut rose was top notch and my husbands old fashioned was one of the best he has ever had - oysters were incredible - French onion soup - I really wish I hadn't left this for last as I ended up being too full to finish this Disappointments: - octopus was incredibly lack luster and the sauce it came in was not tasty - steak was cooked to perfection but almost felt as if it was boiled previously - mashed potatoes and onion rings were fine nothing incredible but not bad - outdoor seating, it felt like they just put up a tent and some tables. I highly recommend eating indoors as I do think that additional ambiance may have contributed to a higher score Overall I'd say come here if you're looking for an old school vibe with decent steak and great drinks.

This place was simply amazing. I asked our waiter (Alexander) what his favorites were, and made some decisions based on that. I was very impressed. The onion rings are a necessity. The steak was cooked perfectly. The salmon was delicious and flaky. The only thing I was a little disappointed in was the lobster mashed potatoes; as the lobster was a little dry, and the dish didn’t really shine as I had imagined. (Was still tasty). The timing of service was flawless, and we never had an empty glass of wine or water. Thanks Alexander for making our first time at Ringside a pleasant experience. We will be coming back for sure!

Ringside Steakhouse is a unique vintage parlor for fine dining in Portland, Oregon. Find it off of Burnside, in an inconspicuous location near the west edge of town. A small parking lot with valet parking is available just off the street, with access and egress from two sides. The entrance is wheelchair friendly with wide concrete sidewalks leading to the front doors. No fancy outdoor exterior. This place is all business. Upon entry into Ringside, you will see a back lounge straight out of the 1960’s where you can get an old fashioned or a glass of Tempranillo. Seating in this area is generous. The restaurant itself houses many luxurious tables including a back room with more seating for parties both large and intimate. Expect top-tier service and friendly staff who tend to your needs consistently topping off your beverages and delivering exquisite appetizers. I highly recommend the lobster mashed potatoes; this dish will knock your socks off. The menu is simple, yet offers a wide range of foods that will satisfy just about every pallet from fresh fish to Japanese beef. You will have your pick of the best wines available in the area including several international labels. The restaurant is clean, ambient and exclusive. My only complaint is the dirty bathrooms and crowded front lobby/waiting area. Reservations are a good idea. Highly recommend a visit.

My recent visit to Ringside Steakhouse was a bit of a rollercoaster, but ultimately, it turned into a glorious meal thanks to the incredible food and attentive staff. There was some initial confusion with our seating—we were first placed right outside the swinging kitchen doors, and every time they swung open, they banged into our table. Understandably, my date asked if we could be moved, which led to a bit of a wait. Katie, our waitress, was fantastic and handled everything with grace. There was, however, one other staff member who seemed a bit out of the loop and got unnecessarily huffy about our table situation, but that was a minor hiccup. Once settled, the meal was absolutely phenomenal—every bite was worth the wait. The staff really helped make me feel comfortable during what turned out to be an awkward date situation, and I truly appreciated their warmth and professionalism. Despite the restaurant closing, they never rushed us out, allowing us to fully enjoy the meal and experience. In the end, Ringside Steakhouse delivered an exceptional dining experience, and I will absolutely be back. Just maybe with a better date next time!

Not the best steak I've had in Portland but we had a good time. We went for a birthday dinner, and service was really good but I was hoping for the best. I would go again, the bar and the TVs made it fun. Definitely wanted more from the steak.

Went there for our 35th wedding anniversary. I appreciated the service from booking the appointment to dinning. We had oysters for an appetizer and loved it. I had prime rib and had mashed potato’s with lobster for my side dish. My wife had fillet mingion and root rotated vegetables. The apple crisp was great. Their old fashion was perfect! We did not feel rushed. The staff were friendly and helpful. The meat was cooked to perfection and had a lot of flavor. The apple Crisp was great to finish the night. Depending on your budget this restaurant is more on the higher end and the prices reflect that quality and service!

Service was impeccable- Katie was wonderful and attentive. Steaks, both the NY Strip and Ribeye were cooked perfectly. Oysters (we had 18 of them) were fresh and delicious as well. Probably the best steak in Portland.
