Customer Review Summary
Overall, Outback Steakhouse offers a mix of positive and negative experiences. Many patrons appreciate the good atmosphere, decent food, and friendly service, highlighting items like the baked potato soup, ribeye, and the $7.99 cocktail special. Conversely, several reviews express disappointment due to slow service, incorrect food orders, bland dishes, and issues with website reservations. Some guests reported problems with food preparation, such as steaks not cooked to order and overly sweet cocktails. While most staff are described as nice and competent, there are concerns regarding management and changes to menu items, particularly regarding sauces and drink options. Despite the mixed reviews, there remains hope for improvement in the future.

It's an overall nice place with a good atmosphere and decent food, perfect for dining with family or a partner. The baked potato soup was flavorful and at the right temperature, and the complimentary bread and butter were always satisfactory. The steak was excellent, and the vegetables were fresh. It's a recommended spot, and the $7.99 cocktail special allowed us to enjoy a few drinks and had a good time.

This used to be my in laws favorite place to eat when they would come visit as they are from a small town. But last nights experience was quite awful. It took the waitress almost 20 mins to grab our drink order, the food was mediocre at best, and the all our drinks were made incorrectly. The steaks were not cooked to order and very tough, the broccoli that came with the coconut shrimp was bad, it stunk up the table as soon as it arrived. The waitress was very nice but was overworked with tables to the point we were neglected most of the visit. Not a great experience.

This visit left us a bit disappointed. Our food was pretty bland, plenty of it though and decently priced. Staff clearing a table dropped some sort of dressing and it splashed us. He apologized, we understand accidents happen so not a big deal but he kinda left the mess on the floor for a long time.

Amazing! Our server was on it, very nice and competent! Thank you so much! We had the ribeye, blooming onion and Mac and cheese and enjoyed it all so much, we will be back, and we came from far away! We appreciate you :)

Stopped in for dinner after returning via Eugene airport. Seated promptly, in a clean booth. The server greeted us within two minutes of being seated. The server was friendly, knowledgeable about menu, and efficient! The food was delicious and plentiful. The restaurant looked clean and well maintained, inside and out! Very enjoyable visit!

Four of us went for a birthday dinner. Apparently OB changed the recipe for the sauce on their ribs. I get ribs on every visit, but didn't like this sauce at all. My other guests didn't have their steaks cooked properly. We asked for separate checks, but didn't get them. It took our waiter over 30 minutes to divide the check. I wont be back here again anytime soon.

They have a serious problem with their website!!! Due to this restaurant can’t make a reservation or phone call to reserve seats beforehand, the only option is to sign in the waitlist from their website (link from their menu tab on the front page). However, when we arrived, the employees told us anything on the website does not connect to their system, which is super unnecessary. You either have a note states that the website doesn’t work or just delete the waitlist option from the website because without any notice, and consumers would have to waste plenty of time for waiting for new tables to get assigned. I believed they have been accused for this problem multiple times but no actions have been taken. There are a lot of people waiting just because of the misinformation from your website. People would have to wait for additional 30~ 45 minutes for their table. Next, they don’t have much issue with their dishes, but a bit too salty for me (based on personal preferences). I ordered a 13oz rib eye with extra marble ($37.99) and it’s as the same size of my hand (adult hand size). Whereas the can be more cautious of their steak doneness. I ordered medium (the middle of the steak is near medium) but the cap area seams rare, and I prefer the crust on the surface of the steak could be more crisp. Other dishes are quite simple and slightly above average. Overall, the workers are nice and friendly, but they have a serious issue with their website waitlist system. Hopefully they can make some changes.

Very disappointed in the changes that we witnessed at Outback. First off, there is no Happy Hour and decided to have the "All day drinks special" instead. Unfortunately the drinks ordered were way too sweet and were not able to finish them. My wife decided to order a glass of wine and found out later that the wine was less expensive and tasted way better than the cocktails. Moving on to the food, the Prime Rib looked great, but extremely tough to cut! The potatoes that we had were very good. The service was great as usual. We have enjoyed Outback restaurants for many years, but wondering if the Chain is heading in a wrong direction? Love the brand and hopefully things will improve in the future.
