Called in an order for takeout (smokes rib plate with potato salad and baked beans and an extra side of collard greens) and when I went to pick it up, the total was $27 instead of $22 as the menu on the website said. However, the owner said he would honor the price on the website and let me pay $22 (I ended up tipping the difference of $5). The ribs are wonderful, the beans and potato salad were hearty and rich and the collard greens were delicious, but could maybe use a squeeze of lemon or vinegar for a touch of acidity. Absolutely great new restaurant, best barbeque in town! Already ate half the ribs in the picture :)

First time. Tri Tip was really perfect. Tender, juicy, just enough smokey flavor, BBQ sauce on the side was lovely, but not needed. Mac and cheese- basic- but really good. They also had “loaded” Mac and cheese. Will try next time. Now if only they’d build a vestibule or second door so that every time the door opened a freezing wind didn’t blow through.

Ordered through Uber eats, so I cannot comment on the atmosphere or service, but I’m disappointed by what I received. I ordered 2 chicken and sausage gumbos. They arrived in 2 small containers that were filled 2/3 of the way with mostly a runny broth, which should’ve been much thicker. There was almost no rice, and I had 1 sliver of shredded chicken in my portion and no sausage, and my daughter said she had no meat in hers at all. It was also over salted which made it difficult to eat in general. The cornbread was actually quite good. It was flavorful and not dry at all (like some cornbread tends to be). Another issue was the packaging. The containers were not properly sealed, so my food arrived leaking and messy. The bag it came in was also not sealed in any way, which doesn’t provide much reassurance when it comes to anti-tampering. It was a buy one get one deal, so I’m not upset with that, but one order is $14.56 and for the portion size and quality, I definitely think there is room for improvement.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal here. The service was great (seated right as we walked in, greeted with "How are you all this evening?"), the atmosphere was really cozy with nice faux leather booths and oldies tunes, and the food was really good.

Absolute banger cocktails here. Stopped in for a quick drink and some snacks. Great southern food! Collard greens were on point. Highly recommend if you enjoy quality ingredients at a good price.

So glad we found Davis NW Smokehouse! The New Orleans spin on their food was such a treat. I couldn’t decide what to get, so I went with the 3-meat sampler featuring ribs, chicken, and pulled pork. Every single bite was incredible. The ribs were moist, not greasy, and so flavorful that you didn’t even need sauce – probably the best I’ve ever had! The smoked chicken was absolutely off the charts, hands-down the best I’ve tasted. The pulled pork was flavorful and delicious, too. A delightful surprise was the Jib’s Jambalaya with shrimp – it was bursting with flavor and so satisfying. I also really appreciated their attention to my gluten allergy. I emailed ahead of my visit, and they made sure all my selections could be accommodated. The fries were good, though a touch overcooked and crispy for my taste, but that’s a small detail in an otherwise fantastic meal. This is officially my new go-to spot whenever I’m in Eugene. Can’t wait to come back!

Just order thru Uber eats and got the rib platter and Mac n cheese. I also got a chicken order for my sister. The chicken was undercooked. And in the photo you’ll see the ribs are raw and bloody. I love bbq I’m from Texas but this kinda hurt my heart

We have enjoyed pretty much everything they have on their menu. Last night, however, was the first time we tried their ribs. WOW! For me, they were about as good as you can get. Nicely smoked, not slathered in sauce (actually - the come without sauce, but you can add your own if you want) and toothsome tender. Not fall of the bone tender (which is fine with me), but tender enough that you can pull the meat away from the bone. They were also well rendered, leaving just enough fat to keep the meat super moist. I have been looking for ribs like this since we moved to Eugene almost 10 years ago. The only thing I would add, is that they need to add some friend Okra to their menu!
