"One of the world's ten greatest traditional dining institutions" - The New York Times There are no desserts on the menu. No credit cards are accepted. They don't take reservations. When Secret Service agents asked for a table for George and Barbara Bush, they were told the wait was 45 minutes. The restaurant is virtually unchanged since it opened in 1947. The menu and wood paneling are still the same, and I hope it stays that way for another 77 years. Great food & ambiance. Would definitely return.

Cannot say enough good things about the dinner I just had. The steak was cooked perfectly to my order, the side were good and the shrimp cocktail was good too. I had excellent service and the vibe inside was warm and cozy. They are CASH ONLY.

Don’t go during a UD game night!! If you’re looking for a bar, then this is your place. If you’re looking for the fine dining, exceptional service, you will be greatly disappointed. People were crowded up to our booth. A 7 year old was running laps around the bar. No evidence of any managers running the place. Bedlam. Huge disappointment.

Had the opportunity to visit from Chicago to celebrate a milestone birthday (2nd time we've settled on The Pine Club in the past 3 months). Such a great gem of Dayton with the nicest staff and amazing food. Pre-Dinner drinks at the bar were outstanding. Some great Old Fashioned cocktails and other spirits while we waited and then off to our table in the cove for our party of six. The steaks (filet, bone-in filet, surf & turf, and prime rib) for our group were cooked to perfection. Great night, great food, great service. We look forward to our next visit to Ohio and The Pine Club.

Famous Dayton restaurant. Feels like you are back in the 1950s! The steak was so good. Dinner came with salad, bread, entre, onion straws, vegetable (the stewed tomatoes are amazing), potatoes (baked or hashbrowns), and a piece of dark chocolate. Totally worth coming to, but bring cash (they don't accept credit cards). If you have never been you are definitely missing out.

First visit to this establishment and the food did not disappoint! Best steak I've ever had and my whole group agreed. The environment is definitely small, very (I mean VERY) dimly lit. My camera can take decent pictures in dark environments. Real early 80s vibes. The staff were friendly and personable. The prices seemed steep at first glance, but the quality of the food proved a good price point. Would definitely try again.

After dined here for countable times over the past several years (during our regular OH visits), I can summarize this restaurant as the following: old school, dark ambiance-can be brighter, down to earth vibe, authentic, friendly, quality food, delicious, and good price…CASH only, to be aware of. This is one of the few restaurants we found that serve quality and delicious beef livers, and cook the livers to perfection. As you probably have figured, this is one of our fav dishes here. But, let’s not to forget the other yummy items from the menu, like the ribeye and bone in ribeye; other cut of steaks, lamb chops and soups…etc. so far we have not had any complaints over the dishes nor the services. Staff have always been friendly. Additionally, she reasonable length of wine list has some great choices, especially the house brand wine which was bottled in Monterey, CA one of my favorite wine regions. There are parkings in the back of the restaurant, just look out for the signs. Highly recommend by @WineDinenVacay

With its cash-only policy and no reservations allowed, (I know right, cash only) it's a place where you are transported back in time to a different era of dining.
