Carver’s Steak and Chop Adam was my waiter this evening, made awesome suggestions and absolutely helpful in deciding what I am going to see on my trip! The only non-negotiable I had was I wanted the ribeye. Atmosphere: dark and intimate setting with candles adding to the ambiance. A variety of music ranging from Frank Sinatra to Teddy Swims plays while dining. Jack and Diet Pepsi: no Coke products but that can be forgiven due to the ample spirits poured. Haha. Calamari: tender buttery and breaded strips mixed with crispy onions and bell peppers, topped with a delicious aioli that perfectly balances out with onions, peppers and calamari. Served with a lemon which pleasantly accentuates the flavors when mixed however without is just as satisfying. Spinach salad: spinach with apples, cranberries and almonds gingerly tossed in a creamy vinaigrette. This was a perfect follow up to the calamari as its sweetness complimented the salty flavors of the calamari. The sweet red apple slices with the tangy cranberries went nicely with the almonds natural warmth. Quite refreshing. Ribeye (rare) with sherry mushrooms: I’ll start with the ribeye…when I say this was cooked to perfection I mean if I could’ve gotten up and kissed the chef I would’ve. The knife slid through the meat effortlessly. Simple seasoning that let the meat itself shine, every bite elicited a slight moan as it practically melted in my mouth. And on to the sherry mushrooms…simple and elegant side for any steak in my opinion, although most places over flavor them Carver’s has perfected them. They had a hint of sherry without being overpowering and thoroughly enjoyed as a standalone although eaten with the steak bite was delicious (I’m more of purist when it comes to meats). Dessert: these are usually played separately but they graciously played them together. Crème Brûlée: my favorite part of this dessert is that initial “crack” into the caramelized sugar crust. This sounds was music to my ears as the spoon hit the top opening up to a rich and luscious filling. Chocolate Covered Strawberries: Five quite sizable chocolate dipped strawberries decorated with pink chocolate shavings add to the romance of this dessert option. The chocolate coating is quite thick for this it chocolate lovers! Simple and always loved selection.

We recently ate at Carvers for the first time in a a few years. The food and drinks were very good. We had actually planned to eat at another place and the wait was too long. Carvers got us right in and exceeded our expectations.

Our family went to Carvers to honor a family member that has chosen to join the Coast Guard. The Oakwood Florist partners with Carvers. There was a beautiful floral arrangement from Yhe Oakwood Florist waiting at our table upon arrival. Carvers is very dimly lit. (It's a good thing I checked out the menu prior to arrival.) We were seated promptly at the time of our reservation. The service was amazing. Johnathan, our server, was attentive and very friendly. Our glasses were never close to empty. ALL of the food was amazing. There wasn't a complaint about any of it. We had appetizers, entrees, and dessert. Leftovers were boxed and bagged for us.

I attended this restaurant for a Birthday dinner on a Friday night. We were a pretty large group of 18 but we were very much aware of how important it was for our entire party to be on time otherwise we wouldn’t be seated. We were reminded of this SEVERAL TIMES before our reservation. What we WEREN’T told is that when you have a larger group you get a smaller menu!!! This was very disappointing as most of us looked online and already knew what we wanted before arrival and NONE of the items we desired were on the condenses menu! We came to this same restaurant, with the same amount of people last summer and this was not the practice so I’m assuming it’s a recent change. However it was definitely a change we should have been made aware of before arrival! We asked the manager if he could accommodate those of us who wanted to make selections from the regular menu as a courtesy since we weren’t advised of the change, and he refused!!! He stated the condensed menu is to ensure we don’t have a long wait for our food and to not congest the kitchen. Ha! Lies! We still waited over an hour for our food AND BREAD!! Once the bread arrived it was burnt and several meals were lukewarm! One of our guests asked why her rice was mushy and shrimp lukewarm and the servers response was “we can have it remade but it’s the end of the night so it’s probably not going to get much better than what you already have”. I’m so disappointed!!! The ONLY reason why I give this restaurant 2 stars is because the cocktails were good. Too bad we didn’t get a good meal to enjoy them with!

Ordered the calamari as an app and it was delicious. My steak was cooked per my liking, however it was not as flavorful as I expected. My wife said her fillet was OK. What bothered me the most this visit was how loud the other tables were as we were packed in fairly close quarters, and it was extremely dark inside even though it was still daylight. Our server was excellent.

I want to give this an awesome rating, but I can't. The server was awesome. But, the food was not equal to the price paid for it. And, I was not given a knife to cut the tough prime rib. I used the bread knife, which was dull. I was just very disappointed overall. And, the atmosphere was dated. The table rocked while we ate... I'm done. Sorry, Carvers, it just wasn't worth it for me.

Enjoyed a great meal and time celebrating a friend's 60+ birthday. There were other celebrations going on, yet the staff/servers were attentive for our group of 15. The meals were well prepared, arrived at the table hot and tasty 😋 Oh and the cocktails were good too. Carvers can be a bit pricey, but you are sure to get your money's worth 😉
