Spotted Cow Steakhouse

We came here for the first time last night and had a great meal. I had a 5:45 reservation but it wasn't needed as there were only ~3 other parties there when we arrived. It's a smaller restaurant, which added to the ambiance and intimate setting. I did get a little nervous wondering why no one else was eating here, but I guess not everyone has our early eating habits. By the end of the meal, the place was packed! We ordered the avocado queso fundido dip, which was excellent and a great start to our meal (our server, Christian, who was also excellent, said it's a very popular appetizer). There were a wide selection of many types of steaks, but I opted for the smash burger instead. And boy...it was a GREAT choice! It's one of the best burgers I've ever had. It was saucy, juicy, and messy - just the way a smash burger should be! I literally didn't need a single condiment (very rare for me) because the burger was simply perfect. I also loved the loaded baked potato, cooked just right. The only bummer were the glazed carrots, which were too sweet and didn't taste much like honey. A great experience and we will be back!

What an absolute gem of a place and experience!!!! Mary is an incredible human and server with such a personality! Made my bday dinner there very enjoyable! I had the surf and turf special which was an incredible value! The steak was so tender and cooked perfectly and tasted amazing! The baked potato was extremely delicious and quality as well! The lobster and shrimp was very good too and the salad was excellent! So much food I had another meal left over to take home! Very clean and tables were wiped well! They have a great drink menu with lots of options and some very good wine on their list as well! I will be a new regular here after trying it for the first time! Hoping for consistency!

Sat outside and it was a lovely environment and beautiful night. I was not very impressed with the food. The best thing I had was the brussels sprouts. I ordered the lobster tails and they were chewy and no flavor at all. They look a lot better than they tasted 😂. The dinner roll was a package yeast roll from the grocery store. I guess I expected more when it was $40-$50 a plate. I won’t be going back. The service was great but don’t recommend the lobster tail.

This place has become my new favorite spot to grab food. Keep killing it guys!

This place is amazing, probably one of the best Steakhouses in Winston-Salem. I absolutely loved the crust on the steaks and the fact that it was cooked to perfection on such a busy night speaks volumes! I am not a big fan of seafood, but after watching my husband's reaction from his first bite of lobster I had to try it and I was not disappointed. They also have a nice cocktail, wine, and beer selection here. It was a super relaxed atmosphere with classy and elegant food. I definitely suggest giving this place a try if you're in the area.

Service was excellent. Very friendly staff. The ambience was great. The food was just okay. The wings, ordered extra crispy, were chewy. They forgot my salad but that was okay they brought me a different side. I chose Brussels sprouts and they were decent. The mac and cheese was very good. The part that got me was the steak. My wife and I love a good steak. It was cooked a perfect medium, extremely juicy, and tender BUT there was no seasoning at all. Ended up having to use a1 and that ruins it for me. I think this can be a great place just needs a little adjustment in the kitchen. Also the margaritas were excellent!

The ambiance, experience, quality and service was way beyond my expectations! Easily 5+ stars!

We dined here for the first time last night and it did not disappoint. We both got the surf and turf and the food was absolutely delicious! Portions were huge and cooked perfectly. We enjoyed sitting on their patio with heated lamps and our server Shelby was outstanding! We will definitely be back soon ♥️
