We went for out anniversary. From the time we walked in to the time we walked out - truly an amazing experience. Relaxing, peaceful, gracious, delicious. Everything was 5 star. We had 4 courses and all were high quality and some the most delicious food I’ve ever had - and I’ve eaten at 5 star restaurants across the country. Good job Ryan’s. This is our new go-to Restaurant for special occasions!

The place is awesome. This is my first time here. My wife took me here for my 50th birthday. I am a very picky steak person. When I say rare, I mean rare. The chef did not fail to impress. The food quality is worth the price. Only con I can say. Out dated, very uncomfortable hard wood, low back chairs.

The food’s quality does seem to have gone down over the past two years. Saltyness increased on the ribeye from an already salty to an absurdly so salty they didn’t even need to cook it level of salt. I love Ryans, but they need to invite outside chefs to sample their food and get a handle on this. The buttermilk mashed potatoes’ salt levels “took away from the dish,” but it did have good flavor. “Someone did not account for the amount of salt correctly.” I love salt, but you may want to reconsider your Morton’s sponsorship here. This restaurant went from 🤌 chefs kiss to outback steakhouse almost overnight. The atmosphere is so close to great, it’s a shame! Excellent features like hideaway bookshelves only to be ruined by idiot’s guide to wine and other thumbs. Landscaping is good, but it could use some revamping as well. The pine needles around the waterfall stones do not provide for an elegant backdrop. The employee entrance should be visibly marked to avoid patrons’ going up the wrong path. Signs should be affixed properly and level to the eye. Longer tablecloths don’t seem like an absurd expense to offer a seamless dining experience. Table thumb sugar holders maybe should be brought to the table as needed by coffee-drinkers. My server was such a warm note on a cold night, Audrey was an absolute pleasure to deal with. She was excellent but in fine dining less is more! An absolute sweetheart who could keep patron’s coming back. I know I sound picky, but these are obvious criticisms that occur without deep investigation. If it is fine dining someone is looking for, I’m afraid that the current condition does not meet that standard. I am not the only person who is affected by these issues, but not everyone who notices will take the time to share. I’m genuinely concerned that Ryan’s Steakhouse is stagnating, and the title for best date-night restaurant in Winston Salem has never felt more debateable. I am heavily in Ryan’s corner, but we have to see some Effort. I look forward to seeing if any changes happen by my next visit.

You can’t go wrong with Ryan’s. The food is amazing and the service isn’t far behind. From steak, to lobster tail, to potato’s to dessert. Close your eyes, point to the menu and you’ll like whatever arrives! The servers know the menu and make you feel like you’re the only one there. Every suggestion they’ve ever made has been spot on!

I do not give out 5 stars that often but this place truly deserves. Prime rub is out of bounds and a go to favorite. Ribeye when not during the weekend is next in line. Difficult but save room for desert creme brulee or the ice cream and Carmel. Service is stellar and very attentive.

Celebrated a birthday last night and Dean was our server! He was outstanding and provided exceptional service through the entire meal. The crab cakes and Halibut were amazing, some of the best we have had!! Food and Service was great and look forward to returning again!

Ryan’s was outstanding as usual! The steaks are some of the best you will ever have! In addition, the Au Poivre sauce is to die for if you are so inclined. We had a group of 10 and it was handled expertly and efficiently for a busy Saturday night was a significant wait for a table if you did not have a reservation. The wine, whiskey and cocktails offered are wonderful. Well worth the price.

For a special occasion, event, anniversary, or friendly gathering this is your place. The overall atmosphere is for those who wish to have a nice dining experience accompanied by the elegant wait staff that is more than accommodating with your needs. The food is prepared to your liking and not how the restaurant sees fit with the chef. The additions to your meal were very good and flavourful. We did not participate in the alcohol portion but the water tasted very clean and very filtered. Parking is not a problem unless it's a very busy evening but should accompany most parties attending. Recommend making reservations for a week or two out if you have a specific day. Recommend for a special evening or splurge days but not the everyday due to the cost. But like I said it's well worth it.
