I visited Roosters while in Winston Salem for the holidays and found it while searching for good local places to eat. Overall, it was a really nice restaurant with solid food. While my meal didn't blow me away (except for the tomato bisque - more to come on that), I would love to return to try other items on the menu. I mostly gave it a 4-star rating because of that tasty tomato bisque. I would definitely come back for more! Roosters is described as upscale, but I'm not sure I'd call it that. It's really nice and beautifully decorated, but it doesn't give me white tablecloth vibes. That might be because we went during brunch which felt more relaxed and less formal. The restaurant is very spacious with plenty of room for dining - great for dates or catching up with friends. It wasn't too crowded so you might not need reservations but we had them just in case. Our server was great! She made sure we were well taken care of and had everything we needed. She gave us excellent recommendations on food and drinks which made our experience even better. For my meal, I ordered the tomato bisque, and the crab cake benedict w/ potatoes. The highlight was definitely the tomato bisque so much so I even ordered some to go! It was full of flavor and they add cheese to it that makes even more creamy and yummy. The crab benedict was good, but there are other items on the menu that caught my eye and I plan to try them next time. I also had a few of drinks which were really good. Overall my experience at Roosters was good! I really enjoyed the tomato bisque and the food was good enough to make me want to come back and try more. It's definitely worth a visit!

Was celebrating a new job with a Date night. Ive always wanted to go here and I was not disappointed. Our server found the bottle of Cab Sav another review had posted. The bottle was perfect! Husband had steak and I had leg of duck. Both dishes were expertly prepared. We shared a Potatoes au gratin side. We both had the butterscotch cheesecake for dessert. Its not what you think, and I highly recommend it. Portions were perfectly sized for dining. Thursday ambience was not rushed and although we made reservations on line there was plenty of seating for walk ins.

The food was delicious and the portions were good. The restaurant has an upscale atmosphere but doesn't feel ostentatious. My server, Mia, was great; very accommodating and attentive. I definitely recommend Rooster's to anyone looking for a satisfying meal with "safe" options, excellent service, and an upscale setting.

THE BEST FOOD. So fresh, & perfectly cooked. Had THE BEST experience here on a date night with my husband. Our server Jeremy was AMAZING & guided us through the menu. I was impressed with his knowledge & professionalism. Can’t wait to be back; my new favorite restaurant in Winston! ♥️

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. The food was incredible, and our waiter, Charles, made the experience exceptional. We went for my mother’s birthday, and they made it so special. As an appetizer, we had a pizza. It was incredible. I had the salmon, and the other dishes my family got were the elk medallion, the ribeye, the crab cake, and shrimp and grits. No one had a bad meal. We also got the skillet corn and sweet potato puree as sides. We finished it off with raspberry cheesecake and peanut butter chocolate pie. I can’t wait to go back.

I had dinner here last night with a friend and family and it was phenomenal. The filet was the best I’ve had in a long time…additionally, the pepperoni pizza was out of this world. Our server was attentive and super sweet. I hate that I only got a photo of dessert but it was all on point.

I ordered the shrimp and grits and it was fabulous. The waitress was friendly and fairly attentive given how busy they were, but the wait time felt long, because it was long, nearly an hour to get our dinner order brought to the table. This is a very popular place for the locals, packed at the dinner hour, reservations are a must. If you are not planning on drinks and appetizers to pass the time away and you better plan on a long wait if you go at the dinner hour.
