Customer Review Summary
River Birch Lodge is highly praised for its friendly service and inviting atmosphere. Many customers enjoy the rustic cabin vibe and consistently good food, with favorites including prime rib, shrimp and grits, and various unique cocktails. While some guests appreciated the outdoor patio and large portions, others found certain dishes, like the seared trout, lacking in flavor. A few reviews mentioned the cocktails needing improvement, but overall experiences were positive. Several diners highlighted the quick service, especially during busy times, and emphasized that the menu offers a wide range of appealing options. Some notes on decor suggest that it could benefit from updates. Despite minor criticisms, many reviewers express a desire to return.

First time here. Server was awesome. Atmosphere was great. Food was wonderful. Had a good ole country in the woods cabin feel. Would definitely visit again and bring some folks from Charlotte with me.

This is one of my favorite date spots in W-S! My hubby and I always have a great meal and have never experienced poor service. The drinks are always made quickly and well. My favorite meal is the prime rib RARE, with mashed potatoes. You truly can’t beat it. On our most recent visit my hubby ordered the beast burger and it was phenomenal. Other great meal choices include the shrimp and grits, duck and RBL burger. Enjoy!

I've been meaning to come here for awhile now - I missed a work dinner hosted here a few months ago and I heard great things, so I moved it up on my list. I made a reservation for 4 people at 5:45pm on Thursday, just a holiday dinner/catch up with a few friends. I don't go to Robinhood Rd a lot because it's a bit far from downtown, but there does seem to be a lot of great stuff out this way (Lowes, Fresh Market, YMCA etc). Parking here is pretty tight, I fortunately found a spot but a couple others had to park in the Lowe's lot. We were seated in the main dining room at a booth. It's pretty standard design and decor inside, a few unique choice pieces of wall art, but probably not my favorite style overall (warmer and cozier but not necessarily chic). Our waitress was prompt with menus, drinks, and orders. They have a pretty standard fare- pizza, pastas, burgers, apps, and a decent selection of beer, wine, and cocktails. I opted for a tangerine juice based mezcal cocktail while my other friends got a glass of red wine and an old fashioned. We were a bit disappointed with the flavor - my drink was way too juice forward, and my friend described her wine as "cheap" tasting, but it was a generous pour. Food wise, we had some vegetarian pasta, chicken and aspargus, salmon, and the river birch pasta. I don't think anyone was super impressed with their dish, nothing was bad though. It just wasn't as great as it had been hyped up to be. It was a pleasant enough environment and experience though, I wouldn't be opposed to returning to try another dish and definitely stick with a beer or wine - the cocktails need a little work!

We sat on the patio outside, which was really nice. Brussel sprouts for an appy was also a great choice. Pork chop was best I have had out in a long time. Huge portions, can't go wrong with this place.

The food was pretty good and the service was great. We ordered the brie and the chicken wings as an appetizer. Both were very good. I ordered the seared trout for dinner. It was a bit bland, but overall it wasn't too bad.

This is one of my favorite pit stops when I'm in the area. The Gimlets by "Martini Mike" are great. As I've only been there for lunch, I usually order the Thai Chicken Salad or the Robinhood Chicken Wrap. Both are very tasty and always paired with a Gimlet.

I stayed for section hours due to back to back brunch meetings today!! Several of the servers knew me because this is one of my favorite places ever!! The food was awesome, the service is always polite, professional, and on point (accurate). The atmosphere is warm and inviting! I sat in the bar for the first time and didn't realize the bar had tables!! Watch the game and transitioned between meetings beautifully!! We will definitely return! Must haves: Lavender Martini Tomato Basil Mama's Lasagna Prime Rib Collard Greens Pizza Butter Rum Cake You know what: you can't go wrong with anything on the menu!!

Lyndsey got 4 of us out of there with wine and entrees in 45 minutes so we could make Wake Forest jazz show on campus. She is great. All the salads were excellent- especially the Ahi Tuna. As a former Louisianan, Red Beans and Rice could use an uplift with some fat and pork bits etc but a very small detail. Space could use some updating in decor. Seems like its aging.
