Meridian Restaurant

We absolutely loved the food coming out was a little bit on the slow side (yes they did have a larger party in the party room). Our waiter was exceptional and made our experience one we will always remember.

Great selection of meals from steaks & seafood. Each day is a new menu. Wine selection by glass & bottle. Service was good tonight. Atmosphere was dull. Wednesday is 1/2 price wine by the glass.

We explored several restaurants to celebrate my birthday. After careful research we chose this place and it did NOT disappoint. The waitress was lovely, she gave us great descriptions of the food. I’m so glad we chose the mussels for our starter. The sauce was amazing… they packed the extra sauce for us to take home, apparently we weren’t the first to ask for it. We chose a quiet week day night. The ambiance was nice, the restaurant felt a little too quiet for the amazing food and service. We are planning to return soon, great experience overall.

We had a great experience at Meridian. The food was fantastic, the drinks were great and the service was excellent! We had the bread pudding for desert and it was amazing. Will definitely come back another time to try more of this Chef’s food!

Meridian is a high quality restaurant. Don’t let the neighborhood keep you from coming here. There is ample reserved parking around the corner. We - four of us - arrived at 5:15 on a Saturday evening. Since we had been to Meridian several times before, we were not the least bit dismayed to see we were the only ones in the restaurant. In fact, we enjoyed that. Even though our waiter, Dave, was fairly new to Meridian, he described food and drink as though he had been there years. Service was outstanding. Quality of food was excellent. Scallops, NY strip, group with shrimp were our main course orders. Those followed apps of calamari and steak tartar. We recommend all of those dishes. The reason for only four stars is that both scallop dishes came with three scallops, and they weren’t all that large. However, as mentioned earlier, they were very nicely and deliciously prepared. We will return to Meridian when in Winston-Salem.

We traveled from out of town (local) to try meridian for our anniversary. The parking lot was dark and quite a distance from the entrance with poor signage. The restaurant’s atmosphere, staff, speed, and wine were all great. However, the food was just not that great, especially for the price. Excellent antelope, calamari and crème brûlée! Excellent cranberry margarita!Norwood, Mike and Matt provided wonderful hospitality! The food was fresh and perfectly prepared! Menu changes daily.

Good food, but unwelcoming vibe. The bar tender thought he was too cool and was not helpful with choosing drinks. The other guests seemed unusually elderly. I'm not sure why there were so many older folks congregated here. Maybe they were hosting a reunion for the Class of 1969 or something. They could have been having an off night. I'd be willing to try here again. I just won't sit near the bar.
