Customer Review Summary

The waitstaff received positive feedback for their attentive service. However, the restroom situation was criticized for being inadequate and unclean. Food quality was generally considered good but overpriced, with some dishes lacking flavor. The restaurant's decor was well-received, though the casual attire of many patrons contrasted with the expected upscale vibe. Some customers experienced poor service, excessive noise, and unsatisfactory food consistency during their visits. Reservations are recommended due to the restaurant's popularity, and overall experiences varied significantly among diners. Positive experiences were noted for special occasions, though some wished for clearer policies regarding celebrations like birthdays.

Waitstaff were great! There's only one toilet in their filthy restroom which is totally inadequate for the number of customers. I heard the women's room has 2 toilets, but the exhaust fan sounded like a jet engine. The food was good and over-priced. There was a sports bar vibe with many TVs. At the end of the day, the quality of the experience here simply doesn't justify the price.

I had to make reservations two weeks out so my anticipation was at a fever pitch by the time dinner rolled around. I’d looked at the menu daily the week leading up to the reservation. Inside decor was appropriate, well styled but not stuffy in any way. Staff attire and meal presentation was very high caliber though the dress code based on many patrons was casual to business casual. I expected to see more chinos and sport coats based on price of the restaurant and that was not the case. We were well taken care of with two assigned servers that worked well in concert to never smother us but always be close by if anything was needed. They spaced our courses out perfectly so that there was little dead time between apps-salads/soup- and entrees. We started with meatballs and smoked bacon appetizers. There were about 3 other apps I wanted to try as well. The meatballs were good but still a regular meatball. The bacon was so smokey and had a delicious bbq style sauce it was served with. It is a must try. The herb spread and crostini with each app was a nice touch as well as rolls with herbed olive oil for dipping. I had the lobster bisque instead of salad with my fiancé having the Fratelli’s salad. She loved the diced apple in the salad. Lastly we opted for the bourbon ribeye and bone-in cowboy ribeye as entrees. One with mashed potatoes and the other with onion and parmesan hash browns. Impeccable cuts of meat that were both cooked to perfection. The price difference for the cowboy ribeye vs traditional rib eye was significant but for my first trip to Fratelli’s, I was not holding back in any regard. Will likely go standard ribeye on my next visit.

Home made specialities are worth trying, as the food is nice and the choice is good. Dishes are big enough. Starters were tasty, and we tried a variety of them. There is plenty of space inside, however it did look like a reservation is recommended.

It is such a shame. This restaurant used to be fantastic. My wife and I dined here last night to celebrate her birthday and it was a terrible experience. The hostesses were not friendly at all when we walked in the door, they just told us our table was not ready and did not give any direction on how to fill the idle time. The servers were inattentive, the restaurant was louder than a sports bar, and the food was severely lacking in flavor. The table of two next to us was incredibly loud, cursing up a storm, and saying things that can only be described as something out of Fifty Shades of Grey. The servers were even hovering over to their table to entertain their graphic conversations. The Risotto was clumpy and had the consistency of chunky oatmeal, the "crispy brussels sprouts" were served in a bowl filled with a watery sauce-- more like a stew. They were also not fresh at all. The side salad served with my steak was swimming in dressing and the lettuce did not seem fresh at all. On top of all of this, the bathrooms were disgusting. The door latches are about broken, the floor is covered in urine, and the paper towels are just laid out behind the sink. Not what you would expect for a $200 dinner. I was so excited to take my wife here, but it was pure disappointment. You are better off going to Outback or Chilis, which would also be about half the price.

This establishment provided an exceptional dining experience, featuring a superior steak and an ambiance that successfully blends upscale elegance with comfortable refinement. The service was exemplary, and all courses were of outstanding quality.

The restaurant has an atmosphere that stands out as fine dining and very unique dining incorporating Italian with a steakhouse. We have never been and were recommended by my colleagues and friends. We made reservations about one week in advance then traveled from a not to distance community to Winston Salem for this dining experience. Arrival on time at 645 and inside checking in was simple. The wait for our table took fifteen minutes as we were told our table was not ready for our reservation at this point. We sat down at a nice clean and well setup table then waited in by our waiter who seems to have many years of experience. We waited for another about fifteen minutes after we closed our menus deciding on our selection before he returned. He was very informative on our questions and provided answers we were looking for. As we waited for our dinner we could tell the proper attire did not apply anymore to the restaurant as people sitting next to us had basketball shorts, graphic T-shirts and a ball cap on. We of course dressed appropriately for the evening in business casual which is usually appropriate these days. The food was very good especially the shareable Tomahawk steak that was recommended by our friend. We recommend the restaurant but it is not one of the more upscale that what it appears as when we saw the overall customers were just dressed in everyday attire. Overall nice dining yes but not an upscale special occasion restaurant. We were not disappointed it just seemed like we were more dressed up than we should have been, could have just worn just casual clothing.

I went to celebrate a birthday for one of my family members. For the most part, the food was pretty good, but my chicken Alfredo was a tad bit salty. The service was good just a small communication breakdown. One of my family members was advised that that the ticket was going to be one ticket as if one person would have to settle the bill and so when we try to get clarity the Server did not explain or did not understand that we are not going to pay under just one check one person and she could’ve simply explained that it’s just going to be one check and we will accept multiple payments. It just caused more of an issue than it needed to be, we were not allowed to bring in gifts although it was a birthday celebration we were not able to bring in cake. I understand not bringing in outside food even the cake but not be able to bring a gift inside was not good for the atmosphere, I will say I will go back. I will try them again. It’s just that it was a birthday celebration and you can go almost anywhere to celebrate for your birthday. You are allowed to at least bring in cake and gifts for the Celebrate, may consider changing that policy. Thank you.
