Customer Review Summary

Customers praise Forsyth Seafood Market & Cafe for its fresh, delicious seafood and friendly service. Many enjoyed the perfectly seasoned flounder, oysters, shrimp, and collard greens, along with house-made desserts. However, some found the side dishes, like mac and cheese and yams, lacking flavor and wished for better portioning. Service is generally noted as friendly, though a few experiences mentioned slow wait times. I'm new to the area looking for some place that sold fresh cooked fish, with the aid of my fabulous sister in law( still in Florida)started Googling places; for some reason Fordyth Seafood stood out and they're about 15 minutes away. I place my order online and since today was Monday I got $10 off each order. I raced there, however there was a problem with the going through. After a brief discussion with their awesome staff, they took the time to get to the bottom of the problem and gave me my delicious fish dinner. I could hardly drive home because it was stinking sooo gooood. Worth The Trip!!! "I'll Definitely Be Back!!! Kudos 👏🏾 💐 🥳

The food here is incredibly good. Seasoned so perfectly. Everything from the flounder to the oysters to the shrimp, is so delicious. As well as the sides, some of the best collard greens I have ever had. Really good desserts too that they make in house, we tried the strawberry shortcake and the banana pudding. Great hardworking people here that will cook you an awesome seafood meal. Will definitely be back!

Okay so first customer service was great! The food ehh not much seasoning in the Mac and cheese and the yams, they were bland. I mean like pop open the can and immediately serve lol. They put your sides in lil small to go cups like for sauce which is kinda upsetting for me because I thought they would pack the plate. Other than the sides the fish was good, could’ve had a lil more love in it. The hush puppies were fantastic and full of flavor. The restaurant smell like a fish market but thats to expect because they sell fresh seafood on the other side. Overall it was good, I just would order different side options next time.

Absolutely the best seafood place around. Everything is fresh and the breading is perfectly light and crispy. Also have some of the best collards ever here. Friendly and quick service. Don't bother going to Coronets or anywhere else. This is the place to be.

I had a wonderful experience at Forsyth Seafood! I arrived late, just as they were closing, but the owners went out of their way to serve me with a smile. I had driven 45 minutes specifically to get fresh flounder for my grandmother’s birthday fish fry, and their kindness truly made the trip worthwhile. You can tell this family-owned business genuinely cares about their customers and community. I’m so grateful for their warm hospitality and exceptional service. Forsyth Seafood is definitely the place to go for fresh, quality seafood and outstanding customer care!

Good spot for fried seafood. I came here with coworkers earlier in the week for the first time, I had been wanting to try it for awhile being new to the area. I ordered the pick two combo- popcorn shrimp and fried clams with a cup of seafood gumbo and mac and cheese. The shrimp and clams were great, mac and cheese was okay, nothing spectacular. But I appreciated the variety of sauces available- tartar, cocktail, hot sauce, ketchup. A little surprised they didn't offer tap water, said we would have to buy a bottle, so I just got my water bottle from the car. Service was friendly but a bit slow, it took over 20 mins for us to get our food after ordering and it didn't seem too crowded/busy at the time. A bit pricey for lunch, but it is seafood. Overall, I'd recommend going if you're craving some fried goodness.

I've had my share of Fried Red Snapper, and it's one of my favorite dishes, especially since I travel for a living. Unfortunately, my experience with this particular version was disappointing. It didn’t seem properly fried and came out soggy instead. Additionally, the dish was overwhelmingly salty, making it difficult to enjoy. If I were dining in the restaurant, I would have requested a replacement. I was eager to try their Catfish, but this experience has made me reconsider. I hope they can improve on these aspects in the future.

I see why Forsyth Seafood was voted best Seafood in 2020. Hands down the best seafood in the area. Everything made fresh to order. Staff were friendly and made great suggestions on popular items. Fried Snapper hush puppies and Jumbo Shrimp were amazing! Forsyth has two sides a dinning side and Fresh Seafood market. Mobile ordering and EBT are available.
