The wife and I love coming here when in Winston-Salem. Amazing staff and the smash burgers are the best we’ve ever had. To us, this is a 5 star restaurant and if you haven’t tried it get there in a hurry because you’re missing out.

Moving to Winston Salem for a job and this was the first place I stopped at. Joel the bartender was by far the best bartender I’ve had. Super welcoming and friendly!! Not to mention he serviced in the military. The atomosohere is super clean and welcoming. He gave recommendations and made me a super good old fashioned with tobacco butters which is something new that I haven’t tried before!! Will definitely be coming back to the place and trying their food next time. Definitely glad I got Joel as my bartender since he’s really down to earth and friendly!!

I went to Earl's for the first time on a recent Saturday night to see the band Gypsy Rose. I loved the atmosphere of this place and the service was very friendly. I didn't have food, but the wine was reasonably priced. However, I was a little taken aback by a 4% "operations fee" on my receipt (presumably for using a card to pay?) and an automatically added 20% gratuity since I was a party of one and went up to the bar to get my own drinks. I would have tipped that much anyway, but I like making my own decisions, and 4% is high for a card fee (if that's what it is -- if it was for something else, that's even worse!).

Stopped by while visiting Winston for the holidays for a few drinks and some food one weeknight. Here are my takeaways: Environment Huge open space with tons of seating for dining and at the bar. It has a ton of character and resembles a western country style bar. They have plenty of TVs for sports and they have a small stage from what i think could be for karaoke or game nights. Good space for food, drinks and catching up with friends. Service The staff was friendly and helpful and made sure we had what we needed. This is regular dining so they either seat you at a table or you can go to the bar to enjoy. Food and Drinks I had the burger and tots and my friends had wings and tots. Most of the food was pretty good. The burger was solid and my friends really enjoyed the wings. The tots were also pretty good. I would come back to try other things off the menu. They also have drink specials through out the week. We happened to be there for the 5 dollar old fashions. Now they didn't really taste like old fashions - real sweet and not that great. But what can you do for 5 dollars. Just be mindful of this. Overall Great space with pretty good food. I would definitely go back to try other things on the menu.

This place has some AMAZING food! We had meatloaf (fantastic) and country fried steak (delicious), but the sides were the bomb. The red potato mash is incredible, Mac and cheese the same. The collards were perfect! Seriously, this was the most enjoyable meal out for my wife and I in a long time. If you're in Winston Salem, you should definitely eat here! Oh, and service was top notch in every way as well.

Went for the music and an appetizer. I got the roasted Brussels, w/out the chow chow, and was delicious. Band was great, nice atmosphere. Down the center was a long communal table, kinda of like sitting at the bar but a table instead. There was also a standard bar and numerous private tables. Interesting decor and the band was a fantastic alt country swing band (classics, no pop country, thankfully)! No cover charge on this night, not sure if that is always the case or not.

Earls delivers top-notch service and vibes. The staff is always friendly and attentive and my food never disappoints. Casual dinner on a weekday and fun live music and drinks on the weekends. Highly recommend!
