There’s a party in my tummy…SO YUMMY, SO YUMMY! Be sure to get the fried pork chop!!! Everything was delicious. Not sure what the secret ingredient is in the waffles, but it’s the best waffle I’ve tasted in a long time!! We were seated and greeted immediately. Our server was friendly and attentive. My son attends WSSU so I’ll definitely return soon!

Our first time at District 924 Soulfood and Cocktails. It was wonderful food and fantastic service by Sydney. Both meals had the creamiest grits, with a roasted garlic sauce, little pieces of chicken sausage and I had mine with fried flounder and my friend had shrimp. They have a great patio with sun and shade and a side street parking lot. They had drink specials on the chalkboard for $8. We both ordered the margarita. Sydney confirmed we wanted “lime margaritas”. Yes. Apparently that translated to “top shelf” because we were charged $20 each. It was good but no kick. After the fact and reading other reviews, I realized they have a published dress code on their website, which I included as a picture. We only saw the patio and it was nice but not “fancy”. I was in shorts, tee shirt and sandals with straps, so I was fine but you will want to read the code.

Wanted some soul food on a Sunday... and it's exactly what we got! It was nothing short of amazing! 🤤 I wish I had taken better photos... but I hope you get the point!

Since moving to Winston-Salem, I’ve struggled finding restaurants where the food was both tasty and reasonably priced! I enjoyed my meal and definitely look forward to coming here regularly. I ordered the red velvet waffles with chicken wings and a side of deviled eggs with grilled shrimp! Absolutely delicious! Cannot wait to try more on their menu! I sat at the bar and the bartender (Ty) was pleasant to converse with.

Came here, for the first time, for my daughter's birthday as she wanted to try the food and support a local business. Taylor was our server and she was nice. I asked her about the creamy penne alfredo and she said that she liked it. So I ordered the creamy penne alfredo with chicken and my daughter ordered a waffle. She was also going to try my entrée. When our food arrived, my daughter's waffle looked great! My creamy penne alfredo didn't look creamy at all. I decided to mix the chicken and penne together hoping to see a creamy sauce.. (From what Taylor said, is that the alfredo sauce is made in house) The sauce wasn't creamy at all. I did take a few bites but the dish very much lacked flavor and had so much oil, running down the pasta and chicken that turned me off from eating it. I definitely don't need to be sick from eating greasy food! I even raised my plate to one side to drain the oil from my food. It took forever for Taylor to come back to see how we were doing. I told and showed my plate with the grease. She asked if I wanted that taken off the bill. I, of course, said yes. She asked if I wanted something else and I said no as my daughter was almost done eating her food. Not once did she asked if we needed more water or sweet tea. Being in this restaurant, we felt like we weren't wanted there. Were our clothes not up to their standards or something else? Idk! We finally got our check, paid and left. Since I didn't eat lunch, I had to find another place for some food.

I want to lead off by saying that the Lamp chops are so good that they were sold out when I tried to order them. I went for the wings, mac and collards, you lose with this selection. Don’t forget the catfish nugget appetizer! The bartender was making a magical drink in real time so I place duplicate order with a Rum base. For the grand finale I opted to have the caramel cheesecake. Trust me when I tell you, I can’t wait to come back. 🔥🔥🔥

Well, my birthday was last month and my best friend took me to this restaurant. I had been wanting to try it and we absolutely loved it. The food was hot, fresh, and big quality. The atmosphere was nicely clean as well as gorgeous. As for the staff, they were so friendly and professional. They did give me a birthday treat. I greatly appreciate it. Not to mention the price was very reasonable as well. I would definitely be back to visit this restaurant, and I would recommend it to anyone.

The guy at the front door was so rude for my first time here. Acting like a tough guy, there's a nicer way to say you have to wait to be seated. It's not normal to wait at a gate 20 ft from the door. Now, the food was delicious, tasty and fried well. The drink was delicious and you could taste a good pour and tasty. The bartender was extremely sweet and helpful. I would recommend this place and come again. I har the flounder and grits and a Hennessey margarita.
