The best steakhouse in NC hands down! The meat is cooked to perfection and every dish is scrumptious! The beef wellington is out of this world! Their desserts stand out as well! Service is excellent and the ambiance and soft rock music in the background a great touch too. Cannot recommend this restaurant enough!

I made a reservation for my birthday at 5 PM and there were already people waiting. We were warmly welcomed and congratulated, and I loved the table they assigned us. We ordered the housemade Parkerhouse and Oysters Rockefeller, which were absolutely delicious. For sides, we had the carrots, which were also amazing. For mains, we tried the Beef Wellington, which was very flavorful but overly salty, and the 16 oz Prime Ribeye, which had the same issue. The chef should really consider cutting back on the salt for the meats. For drinks, we had the Barrel-Aged Old Fashioned, oak smoked Manhattan and Baileys, though the Baileys serving size was disappointingly small. For dessert, we had the Baked Alaska. It was ok. I had made a special request for the birthday, a simple “HBD” message and a candle but it was completely overlooked. Even when I reminded the server, he had no idea about the request. Lastly, when our plates were being cleared, the server and another staff member made a very inappropriate comment about how we had finished all our food. It came across as if they expected us to leave food to be thrown away. My advice is that if you don’t have anything smart to say, it’s better to stay quiet. Overall, the place is beautiful, and the food is good. I do recommend it, but there’s definitely room for improvement in both the service and attention to detail.

One of the best dining experiences I've ever had! I made the reservation online and NEVER mentioned it was my birthday, however upon arriving somehow they knew. From the time we walked in until we left, it was a magical experience. The house manager(s) , our waiter (whose name fails me 🥺, but a tall blonde soft spoken gentleman), and the rest of the staff were incredible. The spicy cucumber cocktail was out of this world and I haven't stopped talking about it. It was the perfect birthday-thank you! It is is pricey, but worth it in my opinion.

Love Oak food, but the service is even better. James was our server today and was awesome. Super friendly, fast, knowledgeable, and great convo! We had brut rose, Parker rolls, and bone marrow to start. So tasty! Our entrees were steak frites and elk with Mac and cheese. Meats were cooked to perfection. Fries were on the salty side (IMO) but husband thought they weee great. Just a personal preference. We split a bottle of Brady Zin (highly recommend as it lends itself to different dishes). We’ve made this our V-Day tradition but would go more often if venturing downtown.

Review: Oak Steakhouse – Raleigh, North Carolina It was a night of hanging out with good friends. The steakhouse had a sleek modern ambiance with a blend of wood, polished metals, stylish lighting, and an elevated vibe, making it the perfect spot for an intimate evening. The service was impeccable. The Staff was overly attentive and made sure that we received all the things we needed to enjoy the evening, from the curated cocktails and red wine to the attention to the needs of the table from the beginning, which was beyond the expectation of a top-tier restaurant. Let’s talk Steak. The selection of the steaks was genuinely impressive. They also had varying choices of 40-day aged steaks, providing all members of our party options to choose from for the dining experience. The 8oz filet mignon medium rare was nothing short of perfection. Every piece of steak melted in your mouth like butter, and the seasoning profile was the right balance between allowing the natural flavors of the meat to shine. They offered a number of great accompaniments with the steak along with a number of great sauce options so each person could curate their best steak experience. We had several sides at the table, including roasted baby carrots, bone marrow fries, Yukon gold mashed potatoes, pan-roasted mushrooms, and Mac and cheese. As a restaurant reviewer who has traveled all over the world, I couldn’t find one thing wrong with what we experienced that night. Even the Apple Cinnamon Moonpie truly made the night an unforgettable experience. If you are looking for an amazing dining experience for spouses, family, friends, and business associates, I would absolutely recommend Oak Steakhouse.

The Oak Steakhouse is amazing. This is the best Steakhouse in Raleigh hands down. The service is the best we have experienced as well. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. They always have off the menu special cuts. The in house made bread is worth the price. Drinks are off the charts and reasonably priced. Pictured is an Old Fashion flight, Parker house rolls, some apps, and the elk & bone in filet entrees. Highly recommend for a special occasion of just a nice dinner if you have the $.

My close friends , partner and I have a Christmas tradition on having dinner at Oak steakhouse. It’s always such a great experience and the food is always phenomenal. The waiter we had last time did an outstanding job and made our celebration very special. Can’t wait to go back in 2025.
