Customer Review Summary

Great experience with a birthday celebration, accommodating birthday cake, and excellent group photos. Affordable pricing with satisfying portions. Food quality is commendable, particularly the sirloin steak, shrimp, and soup. Friendly and helpful staff enhance the dining experience. Impressive array of Asian-inspired dishes and a diverse Japanese menu. The Sake Platinum drink is highly recommended. Atmosphere is generally relaxed, though service pacing could improve to avoid feeling rushed. Chaos from a loud group at the hibachi table was noted, but overall service remained good. However, a negative experience involved poor handling of a takeout order with undercooked chicken and incorrect items, leading to dissatisfaction. Despite some inconsistencies, the restaurant remains a solid choice for Japanese cuisine with a cozy ambiance. Clean dining space and lively bar contribute positively to the overall experience.

Great experience Celebrated my friends birthday with a party of 4. We were pleasantly surprised that they allowed us to bring in her birthday cake. They even helped us take some awesome group photos. Last but not least the bill came to $140 which was unbelievable for how much we ate. We left completely satisfied 😁

Very good food at more than reasonable prices. We had some sirloin steak and shrimp sides made for later in the evening to go and they were amazing as well. Very friendly and helpful, polite staff. A great meal and experience, I can happily recommend Sake Japanese Steakhouse to anyone who enjoys this type of food.

I ordered two separate kinds of susi, and they jammed them all in one container. I asked for no ginger and Wasabi. Look, there it is! On the other hand their soup was so good, I will go back just for it. I ordered takout. The food came out fast and the dining room was relaxing. Definitely eat in here for the full experience.

Sake Japanese Steakhouse offers an impressive array of Asian-inspired dishes in a relaxed atmosphere. From teppanyaki grills to creative sushi rolls, this establishment serves up a diverse and satisfying menu of Japanese cuisine. The food quality is excellent, with a variety of options to suit different tastes. Their drink menu is equally noteworthy, with the Sake Platinum being a standout that shouldn't be missed. Whether you're a sushi enthusiast or looking to explore different Japanese dishes, you'll find plenty to enjoy here. The staff is generally courteous and attentive, contributing to a pleasant dining experience. However, there's room for improvement in terms of pacing. During our visit, we experienced repeated interruptions from our server, which felt like an attempt to rush us through our meal. This aspect of service could use some refinement to allow diners to fully savor their experience. Despite this minor issue, Sake Japanese Steakhouse remains a solid choice for Japanese cuisine in Troy. The combination of quality food, diverse menu options, and a casual ambiance makes it a worthwhile destination for both Japanese food aficionados and casual diners alike

The ambiance was cute. Unfortunately, there was a rambunctious group at the hibachi table, so the atmosphere was a bit chaotic that night - but overall service was great and the food was fresh!

We had a special dinner planned, family in from out of town , the whole deal. We ordered chicken fried rice, filet mignon hibachi and a order of short ribs....the lady up front literally would not let us near our order to make sure it was all there. We paid 230.00 cash, asked for receipt, was totally ignored. She hurriedly gave me the order once the cash was in her hand and by that time we had the entire family waiting. We got chicken fried rice with huge undercooked pieces of chicken, four disgusting short ribs, and the worst of all, instead of the filet hibachi we ordered and paid over 100 dollar alone for ended up being beef and broccoli with a few extra veggies. Please look at and zoom in on this food. I've never got hustled like this at a restaurant

We came here to end our day and for our craving for sushi. 4 adults 2 kids cost us 218, which includes gratuity. The food is great and delicious. Ambiance is very nice and cozy. Very clean. The bar keeps the place alive.
