The salad bar and appetizers, such as bacon wrapped shrimp, received mixed reviews, with some describing them as good while others felt they were lacking. Many enjoyed the cozy setting, described as clean and elegantly simple, with attentive staff who ensure no glass is ever dry. An intimate dining experience amongst the multiple spaces provide a relatively private atmosphere while still being in a crowded room. The service was outstanding. Never a dry glass or the need to look for help. The food was served course after course, flawlessly. Everything was hot and cooked to order. The staff was friendly and attentive. The loaf of wheat bread was warm and fresh with whipped and creamy butter. We tried the smoked bacon wrapped shrimp and mushroom appetizer, both the ham and bean soup and a decent salad bar, very good. The 18 ounce Trail Boss, Ribeye was whiskey marinated and cooked to a perfect, hint over rare. The 14 ounce Whiskey Ribeye was a perfect medium rare. Served with asparagus , cooked just right. The loaded baked potatoes were satisfying without being over the top loaded. A nice balance. We didn't have room for any of the succulent desserts. We planned ahead and made reservations for an early evening dinner on a Thursday night. The place seemed packed, the whole time. Clean and inviting ambiance. Simple elegance with the right portions of everything. We took home leftovers to enjoy later. Whether for a date night, a solo or somewhere to bring the office or friends, this classic restaurant/ steakhouse hit the mark. Good value for the price. I would recommend this business, and will eat here again, when in the area. The lunch and dinner hours were convenient. Parking was a little crowded but, on street parking, on a little used street, was close and worked well. Nicely kept for a well established venue. I don't drink however, a nice selection of wine and cocktails. Not sure if there was another dining room in the basement. There was a bar to wait at while waiting for a table. They don't skimp on quality or service. Very well satisfied, with everything! I know this place has been around for years and doesn't need advertisement to stay busy, all the time. This is how you run a successful restaurant/business. Kudos to the owner, management, staff, the chef, cooks, bartenders, servers and everyone who make this work as a well oiled machine.

Came here to see what the hype was about and saw why they are popular! Whisky ribeye, what they are known for, was on point: juicy, tender, and flavorful. I absolutely loved the bread, and the salad bar was good, too. The place was unassuming and got down to business - serving good steak. It was packed at 6pm on a random weekday. I recommend Drover to people who want good steak at a traditional steakhouse, at a reasonable price.

The food was good but the steak I didn't think was worth the price. Salad bar was not good but I didn't go for the salad bar. Bacon wrapped shrimp with melted butter was great. Dessert the cinnamon toffee cheese cake came out warm and was amazing.

Very old money, dim lighting, steakhouse bar vibe. The portions are large, and the inclusions with your steak make it much cheaper than other upscale steakhouses. I liked it for the ambiance and the prices for the quantity, but the steak was just average. I had the whiskey rib eye, and I honestly would not be able to tell the difference between a normal steak and this steak soaked in whiskey. The loaded potato soup was very rich, creamy, and delicious to dip the bread in. The salad bar was buffet style, and equivalent to what you would get at any other salad bar. I am convinced their salad bar supplies Bergan Mercy Hospital’s, or vice versa. The service was very slow.

The Drover was absolutely amazing! The Ribeye with Whiskey Glaze was fantastic as well as my old fashioned. Thank you for helping me bring in my birthday right!

The service was awful and we waited for over an hour for our food. We were a larger group with automatic gratuity so I assume that’s why we got such poor service. For the prices of the food, I’d expect better service. Food was good but I’ve had better for less.

The atmosphere was very nice. Small rooms with 4-6 tables. The fireplace added to the ambiance. We had cocktails which were good. It was more of a wine menu, versus any fancy cocktails. We were very satisfied with the service. We had a filet and a salmon. Our opinion was that, although, the food was good, it was just okay and could be had from other places for a much better price and likely better. Perhaps the chef changed. The dessert menu was very limited, and we passed.

The food is edible, but that is about all it is. It lacks flavor and is certainly not worth the price. Our food took so long and we thought: "certainly it's because of the 15 minute whiskey marinade they are so famous for." Then the steak tasted as normal and average as they come. If you are looking for a great Omaha steak... keep looking.
