Should be 100 stars. Amazing staff. Ethan was amazing. Food tremendous. Started with the pretzel onion rings. Very thick and crunch. Kid had the steak. Perfectly cooked and flavorful. I had the chicken 1/2. Absolutely amazing. Cream corn and pablano potatoes. Do not miss those. Smoked old fashions. Perfect.

Mixed but positive review for me. First time in town this place came highly recommended from local servers at various establishments. I decided to go with prix fixe second tier option. For my first course I chose the Maryland crab bisque. I do like how the server came out and immediately places the scoop of crab on the plate prior to the bisque so you know you are getting the correct portion of crab however the flavor was not much above bland and I do not recommend it. For the second course I chose the fillet cooked medium which was very good and cooked perfect. The crab cake that came with it was loaded with actual crab and not filler and was very flavorful as well as opposed to the bisque. For my two sides I chose the wild mushrooms with truffle butter which were also very good but the au gratin potatoes were undercooked and crunchy. The potatoes May have been a bit more rigid due to the fact I arrived not long after they opened so that may be hit or miss. The bread served along with the dinner was okay and it was a bit odd to get an Old Fashioned served in a martini glass for the first time in my life but it had good flavor and was well made. For the final course I chose the carrot cake and took it with me which was outstanding much to my happiness because that's my favorite dessert! It was a very good size the cake was moist and there was plenty of frosting mixed perfectly with the shavings on the crust. I will return to this place but specifically for the steak, the crab cake, and the carrot cake. Service was very good and professional. The restaurant has a nice decor as well.

A really pleasant experience, a restaurant that did the job right. The is a small wait time with reservation but nothing crazy. To start our server (who I believe his name was Ian) greeted us nicely and was easy to get along with. He guided us thru the menu and gave us his own recommendations, without trying to upsell you. We started with a shrimp Durango and the sauce with the bread was really nice. I had the chefs special which was a New York dry aged, amazing. We had the moctails both delicious. Sides were good and a good portion and at the end the dessert. We came for a birthday so one was free, we got the crème brûlée and the chocolate velvet cake. The cake had an ice cream that was really good, when the chocolate came to overpower the ice cream gave you a restart. Overall a great experience and I want to come back soon!

Good cut of meat with no seasoning. I’ve had a better $30 steak. Veggies was cold, and the lobster mac & cheese was the worse Mac&cheese I’ve ever had in my life! I don’t mind paying for good food. This was the worse $150 I’ve ever spent on food and drinks. Wish I could give their food back for my money. 😒

To this day one of the best restaurants in Omaha. Made for a pleasurable birthday experience for my mother. Little touches like hand written cards, ever evolving menus, and top notch service makes this worth every dollar spent.

We had a nice time at J Gilbert’s. The table started with the blue cheese chips. They were good nothing spectacular. Definitely wouldn’t order again. My wine was good and my wife’s mocktail she said was good not great. The complimentary bread and butter was tasty we enjoyed the seasoned butter. I did the prix fixe menu. The Caesar salad was very good and they split it between my wife and I. I got the center cut filet which was cooked properly medium rare as requested but didn’t quite have that melt in your mouth taste for the prices. The mashed potatoes were the only thing that my wife wowed about. The asparagus were fine just asparagus nothing special. The star of the show was the apple coustade dessert! Definitely would order again. My wife got the blackened chicken penne which she said was very good. Overall a good experience not sure it was worth the cost but maybe hit up happy hour hear that’s good. Wasn’t as blown away by the steak as I have been at other similarly priced steakhouses.

Enjoyed a whiskey tasting dinner in the restaurant’s private dining room. Excellent meal and food pairings.

Recently visited Omaha for a work function. Stayed at a hotel a few blocks from this restaurant. I had a 10 oz sirloin, asparagus, and truffle mushrooms along with multiple cocktails and carrot cake. My steak was cooked to perfection. They brought around a knife case for me to select the perfect knife for my perfect steak; the steak was so tender, I probably could have cut it with my fork.
