Food quality is a highlight, with dishes like steak, pork chop, sablefish, venison loin, and tagliatelle receiving high marks for flavor and preparation. However, experiences vary; some diners found certain dishes mediocre for the price, particularly on repeat visits. Desserts are well-received, with items like semifreddo and pistachio truffle being standout treats. We've been trying to get reservations for awhile, especially on a weekend so I suggest reserving asap! The atmosphere was chill, relaxed but upscale. We were seated upstairs which gave a great view of the kitchen. Service was fantastic! They really went out of their way to make sure we had a wonderful experience. We dined on our anniversary weekend and got a couple flutes of champagne! What a fun surprise from them. The food was so excellent!! We ordered The steak & Pork Chop. Cannot wait to go back. It may be pricey, but it was worth it.

This was our first time at The Boiler Room. We had heard many good things and were very excited for our early Valentine’s Day dinner. To start, we ordered the Soy Glazed Pork Belly. It was phenomenal. My wife and I both hate carrots yet we’re delighted with the carrot puree served under the belly. The meat itself was soft and extremely flavorful. My wife ordered the Sablefish and I ordered the Venison Loin. The sablefish was done amazingly. Each element complimented it extremely well and the cook was perfect. The venison was a perfect experience overall. I’ve never had a dish where each of the sides and sauces worked so well together. The sweet potato paired well with the rare meat and the risotto was cooked to perfection. We finished off with a chocolate semifreddo served with peanut butter mouse. It was delicious and perfectly sized. We also each ended with an espresso, which was saved by the biscotti. We never expect much from restaurant espressos, but the biscotti was a welcome treat. We each had a couple cocktails throughout the meal and were very pleased with them. The waiter was a bit quiet and standoffish but knew their menu and were very quick. The restaurant was not very full due to weather and made for a quieter atmosphere. At times it was a bit too quiet, but this was not at the fault of the restaurant. We agreed this was one of our best meals in Omaha in quite a long time. The price was worth it and we will be back again in the future.

Boiler Room isn't perfect. But sometimes, perfection is what stands in the way of character. Boiler Room is filled with passion, character, and comforting yet bold attitude. Boiler Room is special. It certainly elevates the city. From the outside, Boiler Room looks like a run-down workshop in a run-down brick-walled factory. You barely notice it in a barren empty street. But as the door opens, you are welcomed into this quiet yet powerful workshop. The chefs cook in the basement which you can look down from the terrace. Although not loud, you definitely feel the energy. The food is second to none. Not perfect. But second to none. The tagliatelle is fresh-made, hand pulled. And you taste it. There's no other way you get such a pasta. The meat sauce and the parmasean come together perfectly. It's made with care and love. The wagyu sirloin was also delicious. And the tomato pesto that accompanies the steak cut gives it a twist. It's not shy to not be perfect. It's not trying to please. It's asking you to taste it. The food screams to be recognized. There certainly are quirks. Pickled green beans with the charcuterie board was a bit confusing. The bland lentil bed with the steak also seemed out of place. But the dish wasn't trying to hide its mistake. Rather it was asking to be experimental. The desserts were also carefully prepared. The peanut butter-scotch truffle was out of this world. It almost felt as if they had custom homemade the peanut butter and I wouldn't be surprised if it was. The apple tart was bursting with fresh apple flavor and scent. The Boiler Room is special. It is special because it is honest. It is special because it brings together passion and creativity with a bold attitude. It doesn't have to be perfect. It just needs to be special and memorable. I am so glad I dined at this restaurant during my visit to Omaha. Thank you for the treat.

This was our second time visiting Boiler Room. We ordered the steak first time around, and we found it to be lacking. We decided to give it a second try for our anniversary and unfortunately, the food remained mediocre. It is unfortunate, considering the ambience is very appealing and the cocktails and complimentary champagne for our anniversary were great. To start, we ordered tagliatelle and pork belly. Each of these dishes was good enough, though not standouts in their own right. For the main courses, we ordered the halibut and duck breast. Similar to our first visit, the main courses fell flat, considering the price ($50+ each dish). The duck was chewier than we would prefer and the halibut was completely ordinary. My boyfriend noted that the flavors of each visit leaned heavily into earthy flavors, which left him wanting more. For instance, the apple and beet purée accompanying his duck was something that was unpleasant on its own but okay when eaten with the rest of the dish. The highlight of the evening was the pistachio semifreddo, which was accompanied by white chocolate and blackberries. It was a great way to end the meal. We also received complimentary macarons, which were pleasant and buttery. Each time we have been to The Boiler Room, we were hoping to give it 5 stars. Unfortunately, we left underwhelmed each time. For the price, there are much better restaurants in the area.

I heard that this place was nominated for a James Beard award so we decided to give it a shot. We were not disappointed. This place should have a Michelin star ⭐️. The atmosphere was Tribeca, the service was midwestern friendly and the food was out of this world. The wine selection was great too. And there was plenty of n/a options for the sober crowd. If you dropped this restaurant into manhattan tomorrow, you’d not be able to get a reservation until next year. I really can’t say enough nice things about our experience.

Very unique restaurant; loved the modern touches within the historic atmosphere. Food and drinks were amazing, and the service was great.

Big shout out to our serving team. They made the meal feel super special. The food was also fantastic. We started out with the crudo. It was light, yet savory. At the end of the meal, we ordered a cheese course. We had three cheeses, and it was fun to talk about them. The cocktail menu was also very exciting and unique. Next time, however, I will order a nonalcoholic juice. The winning meal of the night was the swordfish filet. I'd also recommend the barramundi and the Cornish game hen. However, I don't think there's any way to go wrong on the menu. I'm glad Omaha has a place as committed to fine dining as this.

The Boiler Room came highly recommended when searching for great restaurants in downtown Omaha, and it did not disappoint. The seared saber fish was amazing, and they let me swap out the grilled caulini and broccolini for Brussels sprouts, which were wonderful. Great service, and the atmosphere is perfect if you're looking for a pleasantly relaxed vibe (lighting, music, background noise) and enjoy the visually pleasing old brick walls and other design remnants of the space's former purpose. Excellent!
