Spezia, tucked away in the heart of Omaha, is a must-visit for anyone seeking authentic Italian cuisine in a warm and inviting atmosphere. Upon entering, I was immediately struck by the cozy interior and dim lighting, which created a relaxed and intimate ambiance. Despite arriving at 5:30 on a Tuesday night, the restaurant was bustling with activity. I was seated at the side bar, which, while not ideal, proved to be a minor inconvenience compared to the culinary delights that awaited me. The manager, who greeted me with a menu and took my drink order, exuded a welcoming and attentive demeanor. My Dr. Pepper arrived promptly, accompanied by a basket of warm bread served with an olive oil and balsamic vinegar dip. While I typically prefer butter, this bread was exceptional, and the balsamic vinegar added a delightful tangy twist. In fact, it was so delicious that I had to exercise restraint to avoid filling up before my main course arrived. Speaking of the main course, I opted for the Chicken Parmesan, and it did not disappoint. The presentation was impeccable, and the aroma alone was enough to make my mouth water. The chicken was cooked to perfection, tender and juicy, and the sauce was rich and flavorful. Paired with a side of perfectly cooked angel hair pasta, it was a truly satisfying dish. From the friendly service to the delectable food and cozy atmosphere, Spezia exceeded my expectations. It's no wonder the restaurant was packed; the quality of the food and service speaks for itself. I will definitely be back the next time I'm in Omaha.

This place is truly a gem. The atmosphere is relaxed and service is always helpful and friendly. We got the calamari appetizer and Caesar salad to start which were both delicious. The seasonal special Oktoberfest Schnitzel should be added to their permanent menu - it was fantastic! The Seafood Diavolo and Giglio with Chicken and Asparagus were both flavorful and rich.

This place is an amazing Italian restaurant in Omaha. The food was amazing and perfectly cooked. I tried one of the specials and doing so was trying something new. It's definitely something I'd try again without question. Management of a busy restaurant was handled with class and they accommodated us in no time at all, even though we had no reservation. I will be back to eat here again. No question.

It was OK, but I didn't feel it was worth the price. We visited on a Sunday evening, and our initial drink orders for a beer and vodka sprite took quite a while that we didn't have time to hardly get through them before our meals came out. I ordered based on our waitress' recommendation. She suggested the calamari for an app saying it was the best. While it was fine, it was nothing phenomenal, so I probably wouldn't order it again. The breading was a bit crumbly and with it, just peppers and lemon wedges. The breading lacked much flavor. The only flavor in the dish were if you ate it with the peppers and squeezed the lemon over it. Her second recommendation was the French Acadian chicken linguine and stated it was a spicier sauce. Having never been here before, I wanted to follow her recommendations. The chicken pieces in this were cooked nicely, and the portion was decent. The sauce just lacked much flavor. It felt fairly bland, unfortunately. My fiancé got the chicken parmigiana, and the chicken piece was also generous. Served with capellini pasta and a vegetable medley. They also had 2 pieces of able bread served with olive oil and balsamic vinaigrette. This mixture wasn't my cup of tea. Each of our dishes were $26 and the calamari was $15. I never mind paying a higher price for a good meal I don't have to cook or clean up after, but in true honesty, this experience was over hyped and overpriced. I can't say I'd want to pay these prices, and roll the dice if something else is worth it. Food has to give me feelings to be worth the cost and calories. Over $100 for this dinner for 2, wasn't. Our server was kind and friendly, but I wasn't able to learn her name until I saw it on the ticket.

7/24 Decent Italian food, but not quite worth the price. I had the ravioli, which did not disappoint but was also nothing special. They have a cute area at the front where you can purchase olive oils and pasta, but they are overpriced than what you would buy at an Italian grocery store. The beef burgundy pasta, however, is their best menu item with a delicious cream sauce. Overall it has nice vibes for a night out, as it channels old Italian money with its booths and dim lighting.

I forgot how good Spezia was, they have a unique and excellent menu. Italian steak house is what the menu calls the food but it is upscale Italian dining. I had one of the specials I was unsure of but wanted to try the Peach Chicken, which was excellent. I have had the usual pasta dishes there before and I know they are excellent. Try it or try it again the food is excellent...

Spezia has a great variety of unique menu offerings along with great ambience whether dining inside or on the outdoor patio. It’s a perfect spot for a special occasion without the high-end price. The lovely outdoor area mostly blocks the noise of 72nd Street and makes one feel secluded in the midst of the city. We had excellent service and divine wine.
