Shogun Japanese Steakhouse

Brought my husband here for his 40th birthday. We enjoyed the sushi (X-Men) and the pineapple fruit boat. 🍍 My unagi don (eel rice bowl) was amazing, and his steak and shrimp hibachi meal was good, too. Even their soup and salad were tasty! They were definitely short-staffed, but still did a good job with our table service. We will plan to be back, just not on a busy Friday night.

We placed a very large carryout order for a family gathering. The team at Shogun had every order correct, perfectly packaged and labeled, and excellently prepared. The staff was cheerful and helped carry everything to the car. Once we arrived at our destination, because of the packaging, we had everyone with their meal within minutes. The food was still warm and tasteful.

We were visiting Lincoln to see our daughter and she took us here. They had a large selection on the menu, it was fun and entertaining watching our food cook. We ordered appetizers which we shouldn’t have because you get a lot of food. Food was great and the service was amazing. We would definitely go back.

Dada was our chef and he was funny and awesome. Never had Mai Mai before. He cooked it to perfection. Soup was delightful and server was thoughtful and courteous. Second time here. Will definitely come back again. Cool Japanese art and koi.

What a fun experience!! You are seated with other people and the chef groups the foods by what people ordered and how they want it cooked. We started out with gyoza and asparagus with cheese appetizers. I had chicken and filet and my husband had the Imperial. We upgraded to the fried rice. The chef was fast and entertaining. The food was amazing!! The fried rice was so delicious and the filet was tender and perfect! We got a lot of food and brought home leftovers. Definitely worth going to.

I think this place change a lot over the past few years. We came to dinner and started with seats that we needed to ask couple times to change since restaurant was not busy, nothing happened so we moved to another place. Food was good and chef was entertaining as always floor and chairs and place by the grill was full of chunks of food, every time same story, but its ok. As soon food came to our plates waiter brought our bill, ok. I order another beverage, bill came with. Well i guess, when chef left, guy with towel and lemon in the hand came to clean that grill and that crap started flying to all over the plates, i didnt say nothing and when he left, guy with broom came to the grill area and started sweeping and being busy, that was the time when we actually left immediately. I’m not saying that place is really bad but last 3-4 times we went there each time was worse than previous. Maybe is’s our bad luck or something but i’m honestly hoping they will change for better in future and for menu price.

That lady is ruining this restaurant reputation! OMG! I had been in different places at Texas and I had never had this experience before! If she is the manager, please change herrrrr!!!
