Went here for my birthday and I couldn't recommend it enough. Everything about the evening was special. Our waiter was professional and provided great menu advice. My partner and I both enjoyed our drinks, appetizer, and entrees. It is a very intimate setting, and you'll be in a room with as few as one other table. We shared a room with an older couple that were celebrating their anniversary, and they mentioned how they had their wedding reception here, and had a tradition every year to eat there and mark the occasion. Upon hearing it was my birthday, they bought desert for my partner and myself! It was a very memorable experience overall, and perhaps the start of my very own Billy's dining tradition!

First time at Billy’s during fall 2024 for the Friday lunch specials. Historic atmosphere with amazing food and service. While I waited for the food, strolled around to look at everything. We’ve returned a few times for lunch in 2025. Each time we’ve visited, the current owner has come and sat with us to tell us about the history, or his family, or old and new recipes. When you visit, it’s like you’re part of their family. Reservations are highly requested for dinner or larger parties. We’ve never made reservations for lunch, but as we’re eating, there’s a lot of people calling in for reservations - they fill fast! Food: tasty, flavorful and never the same! Seriously, you can get the chicken croissant one time, the next, the flavor is different in a great way. There are no recipes, so never the same. Last time I got the patty melt - holy a lot of food! I swear it was like a pound of beef all ooey-gooey… difficult to finish it alone. Best part was I removed the mushrooms and ‘chef’ decided to add grilled peppers! What a fantastic substitution!! Another great feature of Billy’s is their family style meals you order in advance and pickup an hour or two before you need the meal. Food: 5+++ Service: 5++++ Atmosphere: 5+++++ If in downtown Lincoln for lunch, Billy’s is a must stop! We are looking forward to trying Billy’s for dinner one of the times in Lincoln. This is a "must visit" restaurant when you are in Lincoln. Excellent food, service and ambiance. We stop every time we are in Lincoln. It is absolutely one of the best restaurants in Lincoln. The chef can create a dish that makes my vegan hubby happy. I am overjoyed that I can have a fantastic meal and so can my plant based husband. Fantastic restaurant that is truly one of my all time favorite places to eat. Get a desert! They come from a Lithuanian baker and they are sooooo delicious. Love the apricot desert, but they all look fabulous. Shout out to Jordan. Excellent server that is engaging and on top of his game. Stop looking for a restaurant in Lincoln. My husband treated me to a fancy Birthday dinner last week at Billy's. People have been telling me to go for ages but it was my first time! We literally ordered half the apps. Baked Brie was great with the apples. Brussel Sprouts were done well but I'm not a huge Balsamic person. Artichoke Dip was super smoky so not for me but I'm sure everyone else would love it! My husband Loved the Broccoli Soup and I enjoyed the Salad and Rolls. He ordered the Rack of Lamb, medium rare, it came out a bit over. He still thought it was great, especially with the mint jelly! Loved the Rosemary and garlic. Yummy mashed potatoes and a side of veg, broccoli is one of his faves. I mentioned wanting a Vegetarian option, apparently it's totally customized! He asked if I wanted potatoes, rice, or pasta for my base. Asked what kind of sauce I'd prefer- cream, red, yellow curry, or a brown sauce I think. Finally if there were any veggies I did not like. It was Amazing! I am such a mashed potato snob (favoring my husband's version). These were the best I've had from a restaurant and it's not even close! Yellow Curry veggies to top, heavy on the coconut milk. Freaking Delicious! I took 2 bites and told my food to Shut Up! Huge portion, I ate on it 4 times. My husband had an Apricot Bavarian Torte for Dessert and I ordered a Lemontine Cooler, citrus and tropical, yummy. Took home the Raspberry Chocolate Torte as well, So Good! Service was great, very personable, very attentive. We had a Fantastic evening!

I don’t want to give a privately owned business a bad review but I wish I had seen one before I made reservations and spent several hundred here. This was our first time here ever. First, I must say the service was impeccable. Everyone was so very nice and attentive. The atmosphere is very kitschy in a slightly dated way but that in its own way was fun. The food was cooked properly but flavorless. Our entire party was disappointed and felt it had the quality of a potluck dinner and not fine dining. With that being said they were packed and I heard others say the food was good to the waiter. I will not go back but maybe in my mind I had hyped up this place and expected more.

Wonderful place for lunch. Really good service and food as well. I will say the appetizer that I got was very big for an appetizer but I did take it home so that worked out as well. Has a very old school vibe to it and you can see it on the walls and memorabilia that they have. All in all I’d definitely come here again.

Very good fine dining restaurant! The people serving and the owner are amazing people! They are super friendly and made sure I was well taken care of. They come and check up on you to make sure the food is good and to make sure you don’t need anything else from them. The food was delicious, I got the steak and my partner got the lamb and they were both so delicious. I would recommend checking this restaurant out! Thank you for serving us.

We had a Saturday reservation for 4 adults. We were greeted and seated. Jordan gave excellent service. The food was delicious. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed his/her food. We shared crab cakes appetizer. I wasn’t too sure about this dish, but it was really yummy. Two had the fresh fish option (tuna) and loved it. One person had the delicious duck. One person had a chicken pasta dish. Generous servings.
