This place is absolutely fantastic! I’ve had amazing experiences here, from celebrating my birthday to a wonderful Valentine’s dinner. Sara went above and beyond to make my birthday special, and her kindness made the night even more memorable. The food is simply outstanding—perfectly tender steaks, incredibly delicious cakes, and a soup that is nothing short of fabulous. The salad dressing is unique and flavorful, adding the perfect touch to an already excellent meal. Every visit here feels special, and I can’t wait to come back for more unforgettable dining experiences! Highly recommend!

Before you read this , know that I am a steak snob. People rave about Porterhouse’s steak. I have ordered it three times, and each time I am disappointed. It’s not prime, it is choice or select, so if gristle is your thing… They recently added a Kobe, I am going to try it. This will be the only time I have given a restaurant more than three chances. So, why the five stars? THE APPETIZERS! In my opinion, they have the best appetizers in town - by far! And if you sit at the bar, you get Howard (Howey) or Chuck and they’re the best. If you order a martini you will likely get what I call a bonus. They don’t have an official “Happy Hour” but we do, so if you’re going there for the great deal on this or that, skip it. That being said we go there for appetizers at least once a week. And, the only entrée I order is the walleye filet (Cajun pan seared) it’s the best in town. In fact it is award-winning! Oysters are great, the spinach dip is to die for, and if you order the burrata bruschetta, it will be the best you’ve had. However, the restaurant is really small so if you want to eat at 4:00 or 4:30, you can get a reservation within days. We just go to the bar. We get there at 4 o’clock and we always get a seat at the bar, it’s 5 o’clock somewhere right?

Good but not great food. Great service and classic atmosphere. We visited to celebrate a birthday. We skipped appetizers since our meals came with sides. We had a porterhouse with a side Caesar salad and mashed potatoes. Unfortunately, the filet mignon portion of the porterhouse was overcooked. The salad and mashed potatoes were good but we wouldn't feel the need to order them again. The other meal we got was the dry-aged ribeye with French onion soup and cheesy au gratin potatoes. The ribeye was actually cooked perfectly but lacked seasoning on portions of it. The French onion soup was very good, although it's not something we typically order so we don't have much to compare it to. The au gratin potatoes were good. Because we were celebrating a birthday, they gave us a free slice of cake. It wasn't very good, and we ended up throwing away most of it. But the fact they gave it to us for free without us mentioning anything (other than the initial reservation) was a nice touch. We also had a seasonal mule to drink. You could taste the alcohol but not the other distinct flavors. So overall, we were really happy with the service but did not think the food was worth the price. We think the many steakhouses in Minneapolis and St. Paul have better food.

We dined here a couple of weeks ago for husband's birthday, and overall service was good. Our server greeted us and acknowledged our reason for dining in, which was nice of her! I made a reservation online, and we were seated right away when arrived. No wait. They do not have a wide selection of sides. Steaks was mediocre, IMO. I thought mine was a little overcooked. Probably would not return, but it was a good experience and good service overall. They packed my husband a slice of cake free of charge. Cake was very rich.

I recently dined at this charming eatery and had a delightful experience. The service was stellar, with Noella, our attentive server, adding a touch of grace to the evening. The food was a symphony of flavors; the steak and scallops were cooked to perfection, dancing on the plate. Though the place buzzed with a lively crowd, creating a symphony of sounds, the overall dining experience was enchanting

My first ever experience with these guys was about 5 years ago and it was phenomenal. Everything was perfect from top to bottom. Was recently in the area with my team for a work event and wanted to do a nice dinner to thank them for their work. I was a little disappointed in the atmosphere being a little less than I remember but I can assure you the food and service is just as good if not better. I treated the table to an expensive bottle of wine. So often, even at nicer restaurants, the formal process for a bottle of wine (not that I need it) is done correctly. I believe Cassie was our server and she did it perfectly! She was so kind and friendly and executed perfectly. The food was absolutely fantastic and our main course, all steaks, were cooked to perfection. The cuts were prime, juicy and so tender. We were in heaven! Everyone from our hostess, to the chef to our server were so great. My team greatly appreciated everything. Thank you so much for another fantastic meal and we can't wait to dine with you guys again in the future!

We were at the steakhouse a little before our reservation. The staff was incredibly nice and found us very comfortable accommodations until our table was ready. The table was cozy and the atmosphere lovely. The server made sure we promptly had everything we needed from the drinks to dinner to dessert. We had a birthday girl in our party and a very tasty cake was brought to feel entire party. The food was delicious and we left full and very satisfied.

As a starter we had the blackened tenderloin tips which were heaven. I had the lobster tail special and it was also very good! My husband had a steak which he ordered medium rare, but it was more on the rare side and chewy, which we were surprised by since the tenderloin tips melted in your mouth. The flavor was good though! Our waitress was very friendly!
