The Best Steak House

I came across them on Facebook reels and thought I’d give them a shot. Being my first visit, I wasn’t sure what to choose, but the owner kindly suggested their 'Valentine special deal.' He was such a sweet and cheerful person, and his warmth reminded me of my grandpa, which made me feel right at home! Although I had to do takeout instead of dining in, the experience was still wonderful. The owner even offered me some cake on the house, which was such a lovely gesture! The food was absolutely delicious. The steak was incredibly tender and packed with flavor, and I was pleasantly surprised that it stayed juicy on my drive home. The shrimp had a delightful crispness, the potatoes were wonderfully buttery, and the bread was soft and tasty. I can’t wait to return and explore more of their menu!

The staff at this establishment was exceptionally friendly and courteous. The meals we ordered arrived promptly. The only issue with our order was the shrimp basket I ordered for my son, which he did not enjoy at all. Conversely, the steak we ordered was savored with great pleasure. However, we will decline to order the shrimp again on our next visit. We dined in, and the other customers who visited during our stay were equally pleased with the restaurant’s ambiance and cleanliness. I wholeheartedly recommend visiting this establishment as soon as possible. My family and I will certainly return again.

I am biased. I have been eating at Best since my childhood. But once again: stellar! The pork chops were perfect and they gave me more than the mention, by a lot. Nicely seasoned! The rest of it was right on expectation and very much appreciated! They’re great! And they make their customers feel great too.

This place has been owned by the same family for as long as I can remember. Grandma with the gold teeth is the most iconic lady you will ever meet. The two uncles at the register and grill are brothers and call everyone their kids. You come here you are family.

Needed to get a simple filling quick meal for my family. We ordered take out and it was ready when I arrived. My gal got the chicken dinner and ended up eating it for three meals the portion was so large. I had the steak sandwich and pretty much inhaled it the steak was tender and juicy. The gal working the register seemed like she’d only been there for awhile but the other guys working the grill looked like they’d been making food 30 years or more. It’s a good thing because the experience comes through in the food. For uncomplicated filling food this is a great choice. The staff was friendly and let me know they were thankful and valued my business. You can bet I’ll be back.

I came to this location because the one on White Bear Ave that I usually go to is closed due to a kitchen fire. This location is terrible. I dined in and everything is served in styrofoam containers?!!! As I cut into my steak, I was cutting into parchment paper under my steak and into the styrofoam container, getting a bit of parchment paper and styrofoam in every bite. Was not asked how I wanted my steak cooked. Steak cooked way over done. Also, nothing overly friendly about this place like other reviewers are saying. The cashier lady was nice n made small talk with me. But the cooks pick n choose who they greet. I wasn't greeted by them when I walked in or when I left, but I noticed others before and after me were. Not that i care to get greeted, but I'm pointing out that it's not 100% great friendly service like so many people have said in their reviews here. The only thing good I had here was the ice water provided to me in a red solo cup 🥤. You're better off going to Denny's or Perkins for steak than this place. Just the worst steak and sides I have ever had in a long time. Burnt steak, a drastically overcooked old dry potato, soggy texas toast, and a very sad small salad also served in a styrofoam container. Bring your appetite, as we both took home leftovers. You wouldn't do that at the Ritz. We will be visiting this place again when we're in town.
