Customer Review Summary

Mixed reviews for Lucky's Steakhouse highlight both excellent service and significant issues with food quality and cleanliness. Some diners praised the friendly staff and notable dishes like calamari and carrot cake, appreciating the warm bread and size of salads. However, many comments pointed out problems such as bland food, untrained service, slow attentiveness, and unappealing dining conditions. Particular grievances included the use of the same breading for multiple dishes, undercooked sides, and a warm, uncomfortable atmosphere. Despite some positive experiences, several guests expressed reluctance to return, especially families with children, due to disruptive behavior and cleanliness concerns.

Birthday dinner on a Sunday night. White Zen was ok. Flash fried Calamari was very good topped with red peppers. I ordered the Crab Cakes and shrimp dish. Unfortunately the same breading used on calamari was used on the crab cakes and shrimp! This made the entire dinner taste the same. Cornmeal type. I could not tell the crab from the shrimp. Crap meat was meager at best. I could not determine what kind of sauce was used as it had no flavor. Also topped with red peppers! Potato Au Gratin was very loose, stove top with undercooked potatoes The salad was fresh. I can recommend the Carrot Cake. Bread was quite bland, nothing notable there. Staff was friendly but not well trained to serve. I did note a sub sandwich I may try in the future. My husband’s Porterhouse steak was prepared to his liking and good. Cold baked potato. No Birthday Dinner available.

Was enjoying meal on Sunday afternoon after church with my husband and daughters, and over heard a younger boy grabbing dishes and cleaning off table say really vulgar and foul language to another younger boy as he walked past. Seemed like playful banter to each other as friends, but they were on the main floor where many people were eating. It ruined the atmosphere and our dining experience. I view Lucky's as classy and well established. Don't feel very comfortable coming back, especially bringing my children around.

Absolutely fantastic. Literally the BEST service, pricing, and quality around. We stopped in for an impromptu meal and left beyond satisfied. The bartender, Shawn W., made the evening and the venue memorable. I’m a new regular, committed all the way. Totally worth the hour drive!

I had the gnocchi carbonara, pictured below - it was good and very filling. The salads that come with the meals are very adequately sized, and along with the awesome warm bread they serve before the meal, you have to be careful you don’t fill up before your entrée arrives.

Great value and decent food. Beers very well priced at $4/pint. Unfortunately half of the beers on the menu were sold out. Steak and lobster for $30. Not the best quality but for the price worth it. Great service.

Up here in Mason Michigan for the Nationals Trap Shooting Competition. Wanted a nice meal. Sierra helped us get a table for 530pm. They were not busy and was an easy in, they were not busy. Service was very very slow. Attentiveness to needs was lacking. Menu has a nice selection to choose from. Prices range from med to high. We had chicken Parmesan which was a little dry, Mac n cheese and chicken again chicken a little dry. Good salad, the blackened mahi mahi was good. The attentiveness to service was our sides, broccoli and green beans didn’t come out with the main meal and had to ask remind for them. Margarita was good. It took a long time to get requests like water refills. The place appeared clean but again wasn’t busy when we arrived so not sure on bussing speed/cleanliness. The whole restaurant was uncomfortably warm, we asked if could be made cooler but didn’t seem to change. As was so warm we didn’t finish our meals and got to go. Overall, Due to service and quality of food I couldn’t rate my higher than I did.

We were seated at 4:07 p.m. my mother in-law wanted to visit this place again because the first experience was really decent however, this go around the service was really slow. It was people that sat after us that got severed before us. Is was on a Sunday yet, it was not crowded or busy. My baked potato was over cooked. My son chicken Tenders was dry. 12/1/2024 5:16 p.m.

Walking in to luckys restaurant in Okemos Mi it looks to be super clean and nice.. we are use to eating at the lucky's in Clio which is up scaled.. We were seated in the lower level and requested a table the only tables had a 1/2 booth.. which looked super molded and dirty. It' looks like this side of the restaurants walls have never been cleaned or even dusted with mold.. The table and chairs are sticky.. chairs are very uncomfortable.. Haven't even gotten the food yet, wish I would've went somewhere else.. After an hour later we finally got our food prime rib and ribs .. Ribs were cold and over cooked the side dishes were either over cooked or cold.. it's super expensive and not worth 45 minute drive... flies and gnats every where...
