I ate at this location on March 2, 2025. I was so excited to go because when I went there in the past I had a good experience but this time I didn’t and was very disappointed. We sat at a booth and the tables at the booth were very wobbly to the point where I thought my drink was going to fall over. The tables definitely need to be fixed or replaced. I wanted lamb chops, sweet potato mash, and asparagus. They were out of asparagus and the waitress stated that the person in charge in the kitchen suggested that I didn’t get the sweet potato mash because he didn’t like the way the cook cooked it. That should have been a warning sign for me not to eat there but I did anyway, so I got the lamb chops, broccoli, and mashed potatoes with gravy. The lamb chops were cooked like I asked but it didn’t taste seasoned at all and it had some sweet sauce on them. The broccoli had some pieces that were cold, overcooked, and some were steamed. The mashed potatoes were terrible! They tastes like instant potatoes that were not cooked correctly. It was a heavy glob of potatoes with no flavor and the gravy was just a pool brown flavorless liquid. I ate the lamb chops, I ate a few pieces of the broccoli, and I didn’t eat the mashed potatoes at all after tasting them. The waitress took the mashed potatoes off my bill. I had two strawberry Hennessy drinks and they were great. I went home and got in bed at 8pm and I woke up at 3am in the morning with a pain out of this world. It felt like I had been punched in the stomach. Shortly after I was on the toilet praying to God asking for the pain to go away. I know for a fact it was from the food I ate because that I all I ate for the whole day. I checked with a friend who ate there with me and he said that the food had him on the toilet as well so I know it was definitely the food. I am truly disappointed because I wanted to support black owned businesses but due to the lack of consistency with good quality food I will not be back. I don’t want to risk getting sick again.

My food came 20 minutes after ordering. My wife's food came 20 minutes after mine. There were only 6 other people in the restaurant so I don't know why it took so long. My steak was burnt and the shrimp that came with it was cold and salty. We never received our turkey burger appetizer. How can you be out of lobster, asparagus, and baby back ribs at the same time on a Saturday night and not know it?

First timer here from Houston, TX & a lot of locals recommended this place to me, raving about their pasta. I tried to come last week, but upon walking in around 6:30pm & waiting very briefly (<5 minutes), I was informed that they were closing. I didn’t trip, because I figured it was due to the weather. Soooo, I tried again today (2/7/25) & was successful 🤗. The restaurant is very beautiful, by the way! I had the Sloppy naked wings in lemon pepper (10/10), Chicken pasta and added blackened salmon (10/10), Cowboy ribeye (10/10), Smothered potatoes (10/10), and the Mac & cheese (6/10). Overall, the food was VERY GOOD. The chef really did his thing back there, especially on my steak 😁. However, I must comment on the customer service. Now as a newbie, I am realizing there are some things I have to get used to in the city when it comes to the customer service, but some things are becoming unacceptable & I am tired of overlooking bad service because the food is good at some of these places, including this one. I LOVE supporting BOBs and will continue to do so but PSA, if this is being marketed as fine dining, I expect fine dining service. The restaurant was pretty empty (besides my table, there was another table of guests) BUT when the waitress (I didn’t get her name) explained that she just got there and is the only one (I guess the hostess doesn’t count or she was only assigned to the big table 🧐), I was VERY understanding and actually was patient throughout the night. However, it is very unacceptable for my food to be sitting under the heat lamp for as long as it did while she was standing at the bar chatting with the hostess & I had to get her attention to get it. Yet, I still remained patient (the other guest that was with me had already received their food but no biggie). Furthermore, I did NOT like nor appreciated being told “Can you tell me what you want all at once instead of here and there.” I was not being malicious AT ALL when I’d say, “I’m sorry to keep bothering you but can I get xyz- some ranch, a to go box, small plates {for the appetizers-which should have been automatic}, some silverware {again, should’ve been automatic 🙂}, etc- (yes, these happened to be separate request, unintentionally). Again, I am a very polite and patient person but I shouldn’t be sorry to request items during a service that I am paying for, let alone requesting things that should be already in place (silverware, appetizer plates). So, for her to say something like that had me feeling some type of way. With that being said, I hope whoever owns this establishment really look into additional customer service trainings for their employees to increase overall service satisfaction. The food was amazing so I will definitely try them out again & hope the service is better, or maybe I should just do takeout, instead of dining in 😩.

Came here for Mother’s Day dinner. Paid over $155.00 , I was not expecting that. The gratuity is at 20% , I see why they have a lot of take out and DoorDash orders. They had so many take out orders that it took us 1 hour to receive our food. I think that’s a good and bad thing. Anyway, I gave the rating to hopefully help y’all do better. It was the flies for me. We had a hard time enjoying the food because of all the gnats that were flying around our food and us. For the price we paid, that was unacceptable. Food was good , chops and Mac n cheese was delicious. We would recommend the DoorDash option until the dining area is together.

Sloppy chops is located on 6 mile in Detroit. I went here on Saturday night at 7pm. They accept reservations and it’s an automatic 18% gratuity on each check. They have a bar area with TVs. The service was horrible. We ordered sloppy chops (they were cold and expensive), smothered potatoes (tasty) and surf and turf Alfredo pasta (cold and mediocre). Sides are À la carte. We waited a total of 45 min to be seated (30 min past our rsvp time). A party of 15 walked out after waiting 2 hours for food and other drinks that was ordered. I seen the frustration on their face when we walked in. Another party of 13 walked out because they had been waiting an hour to be seated. They also had reservations and their table was already set up. Others walked out because they had been waiting to order and never got their drinks. We were still being hopeful. When we finally got seated. We ordered our food and drinks right away. Another couple that came in 30 min after us ordered their food and drinks after us. They got their food and drinks before us. After our waitress gave them ALL their food. She quickly went past us without stopping and said “Your food should be out soon”. We waited 30 min to get 1 drink. This was after I asked a different wait staff about my drink. Because our waitress was no where to be found. The other wait staff went and got my drink and it was wrong. We waited an hour to get our food. We were very close to walking out as well. Our food was cold when we got it. The waitress was not apologetic at all and basically ignored us. Although it was not her fault it was not enough wait staff. I thought she could hv been more apologetic and displayed a better attitude. I assume she was stressed and didn’t care because she was automatically getting her undeserved tip. It was people picking up orders and they were wrong. Those people also waited a long time. A few people told them about the dirty bathroom. No one went and cleaned it. I think some of the staff that I seen doing nothing could have helped with drinks, bring out food, take orders etc. Not just manage and sit more people. A lot of people were turned away because of the wait time. I really hate giving bad reviews and hope they get it together. My experience was very unpleasant. It was not worth spending over 2 hours in a cold restaurant and almost $200 later. They are open Mon-Wed 11am-10pm, Thurs. 11am-2am and Fri.-Sun. 11am-12am

My husband and I were excited to finally get a chance to try this place out. There was no wait for the table however it took a very long time to get serviced and to actually receive our apps. Once it was brought out it was in correct so we had to wait even longer. A waitress wasnt attentive but they were under staffed. We couldn't get an cocktails because there wasnt a bartender on staff. I was extremely let down by our experience especially because it was my birthday celebration. I'm hoping to give them another shot in the future. Update: I came back to give them another shot. This time they. They didn't disappoint 🙌🏿. Everything was fresh. The bartender (Muffin) had great conversation and customer service. I left full and satisfied. I had the wings, surf and turf with smothered potatoes. Chefs kiss.

Very nice and clean inside and out of restaurant. Waitress (door)was inpatient and kinda rude. Waitress at the table was nice, but didn’t explain the menu to clear to us. (Still okay) however food was good but took soooo long to receive. Restaurant was empty and no live entertainment so we was confused on the wait. Was surprised by the bill and added “gratuity” charge included into the bill. Something should be informed prior to ordering. We still left and $25 tip on top on the extra “gratuity” charge.

The food was terrible, I ordered Lamb chops over the phone I was asked how you want them cooked? I said well done. the lamb chops were about bloody. only like 1 and half of them were what I request. I paid $54.00 actually more than that for the tip. Then when I called and complained they tried to offer me 10% off my next order. I said I'm not coming back. So don't waste the money.
