Avenue Brunch House is praised for its delicious food, attentive service, and large portions. Many reviewers recommend the Seafood Trio, fried salmon, shrimp and grits, and lavender coffee. Most found the flavors wonderful, with beignets and pancake tacos also receiving high remarks. However, some diners experienced long waits and mediocre service, particularly during busy times. One reviewer mentioned excessive potato use in several dishes, calling for better balance. Management has been noted to be responsive and helpful when concerns arose. We sent someone ahead to put in our names. We knew the wait could be long. It was worth it! It was pretty cold the day we went, so those who were waiting stood anywhere they could find space. Our food came out quickly. Our waitress was attentive and polite. Large portions were served and when reheated at home, I still enjoyed. I recommend the Seafood Trio 😋

This is one of the best brunch restaurants, I have been to in Michigan hands-down! The food is awesome delicious! I had the fried salmon Shrimp and grits. Everything was cooked to perfection and taste great. I highly recommend this dish. I also had a side of pancakes. They were big, fluffy and delicious enough to feed to for sure. All the dishes is enough to feed two people and the price was reasonable.

This place was excellent! The service felt personal. The food was absolutely delicious. I had a lavender coffee - it was wonderful! Started off with beignets which were nice and warm - so good! We also had the pancake tacos - which came with spicy maple Hollandaise sauce very, very delicious and filling. Had to get a take home box. This is a family owned business and I can’t even tell you how satisfying our meal was. If you want a great meal and great service, this is the place to go! The food is great and fresh and everything is made right there. Mo - you were awesome! Thank you for taking great care of us!

The food was amazing! Incredible, even. Everything tasted so good. It gets really busy, but the outside waiting area is big so it's good as long as the weather is nice. I'd definitely come back someday for a nice brunch. The food is worth it.

Great service but mediocre food at best. We ordered Chicken Skillet, Egg Benedict and Chicken Sandwich. All of these dishes, especially the skillet were completely full of potatoes, too many potatoes instead of other veggies or chicken. We still have potatoes leftovers for two more meals! 😅 If the chef balances potato quantity with other elements, has potential!

I wanted this to be a positive experience so bad. My boyfriend and I were celebrating Valentine’s Day weekend together. We decided to get brunch after we left the spa and unfortunately we had very mediocre service at this restaurant. Our waitress wasn’t the problem I think it was more so management, we had to wait well over an hour for a table but we noticed other people who came in after us getting seated before us so that was frustrating.. the manager claimed they checked in and left but I talked to a few parties that told me they came in after us and they were seated before us. :/ so we waited around extremely hungry from such a great morning at the spa. When we were finally seated we had to wait an additional 20 minutes to get a waiter. We asked a lady walking by who our waitress was and she said she was unsure and went to check. About 10 minutes later we finally got a waitress and a menu. Our waitress was a blonde woman who was actually a very nice and attentive waitress so that made us feel a bit bigger about the brunch experience. We ordered the strawberry and banana smoothie along with a mango smoothie. The mango smoothie taste like a mango lassi to me which I actually enjoy. The strawberry and banana smoothie was SOOO good best thing we had probably along with the smoked wings appetizer. The wings were so good and they came with a sauce that was out of this world delicious!! The pancake tacos were also a pretty good appetizer. I will say the portion size for these dishes are really good, all very large and filing. My main dish was just okay the steak and eggs. The steak lacked flavor in my opinion. My boyfriend had an Louisiana seafood and grits which was a trio that included shrimp, lobster and chicken, he enjoyed. All in all it not sure if I would return here to be honest. I would hate to return and receive the same service so I’ll pass for now.

The Manager went above and beyond to make sure our meal was satisfactory. Our chicken tenders were a bit salty, so he replaced our meal with Grilled Tenders and added a nice hot waffle. Superb service---5 Stars!!!

First and foremost, the service of this establishment is awesome. From the moment you walk in to when you’re being served is 5 stars. The food needs a little more flavor and the menu needs to be tweaked. It’s a lot going on with the menu and I appreciate the halal food and the unconventional options but again, it’s lacking a substantial amount of flavor. I ordered the El Camino omelette and was a quite disappointed at the lack of flavor. Yes, flavor is the most significant when it comes to food, especially eating at restaurant. My daughter got the Mickey Mouse pancakes which seemed to be satisfying to her, along with the smart option of offering beef bacon (I love beef bacon). Notes to the chefs/cooks: Certain cheese goes with certain meals, it’s important to remember that. Not everyone is a fan of stringy cheese that does not melt or stay melted. Also, presentation is also a huge factor. The omelette was bland and the hash browns were too little in my opinion. I could’ve got way more portions, and way more flavor for less at a trusted Coney Island in the city. Hope this helps.
