Ichiban Japanese Steakhouse Ann Arbor

We recently had dinner at Ichiban and had a fantastic experience! I highly recommend making a reservation in advance, as it makes things much easier for your group. We were celebrating a friend’s birthday and brought along a cake. The staff took care of it upon our arrival and presented it later with an amazing entrance that made the occasion even more special. The hibachi chef was incredibly entertaining, making the experience fun and lively. The food was delicious, and everyone in our group enjoyed their meal. The cost was around $50 per person, and given the overall experience, I’d say it was well worth it. A great spot for special occasions or a fun night out!

This was quite a fun time and the food was cooked delicious style. I had a funky cocktail that was very good and was served one fire. The staff is very friendly and the cooking entertainment is worth every penny.

Very good service, excellent atmosphere and food. The food arrived very promptly and tasted Japanese, though the rice was not quite sticky enough to eat properly with chopsticks. In Japan,a meal like this would have been served using several more small bowls or platters, but this concession to American tastes and efficiency is easily excused. The only reason for lower rating of the service is the long wait for the check. Everything else was prompt.

I wish they had other dessert options, but with how full we were from the amazing food it didn't bother us. our chef was amazing! he was so funny and had all sorts of tricks to play, definitely would recommend and definitely plan to go back! it was slow when we went in so we didn’t wait long for anything and our chef and server were both awesome!
