You don't see many posts about West Side Steak & BBQ in Worcester. This place has been up in running for close to 20 years. I've heard nothing but rave reviews and finally got to try for myself today. The half chicken and pulled pork were smokey deliciousness. The sides were also tasty, had potato salad, roasted potatoes, and baked beans loaded with bacon and maybe pulled pork. Everyone needs to get over to Westside on Pleasant St in Worcester to support this small family ran business.

Food: we got the half pound brisket and half pound pulled pork dinner which also came with at least two sides. Everything was absolutely delicious. The meats were tender and flavorful. Nothing was dry. I like how the potato salad is an overly salted but you can taste the eggs and the potatoes pretty well. The cornbread is not as sweet and you can taste the corn milk, but it’s also not too dry. Service: our server was great made sure that we had everything in our meals. Ambiance: it’s a very tiny almost like antique restaurant that’s filled with perhaps at max 15 seats. It gives a very old-fashioned western family vibe with the dim lights Location accommodation: there is outdoor seating when the weather is applicable, and parking is usually on the side. It doesn’t seem like they do reservations and the place is rather tiny so keep in mind on the space capacity.

Great spot for bbq. The food was delicious, homemade, and wings are huge, generous portions. We got the garlic wings and the fried brisket bites with yucca fries. Place is clean, service is amazing. Rice with beans were also really good.

Everything done at this place is delicious. Real ingredients, everything cooked slowly, you can tell!!! I had a chicken soup like nothing I’ve tried before. And the brisket is always cooked perfectly.

Living outside NYC, you would assume I have lots of fabulous food options. But my absolute favorite grilled chicken Caesar salad is made at Westside Steak and BBQ. Every time I return to Worcester to visit family, I am certain to visit with the graciously welcoming owner, Eleni, and satisfy my craving. The salad is perfectly dressed with a flavorful Caesar dressing and the chicken breast is generously sized and perfectly grilled. Eleni mentioned another customer purchases this salad and drives it to his daughter living in NY. The BBQ meats and corn bread are delicious too!

We stopped in here for lunch. The food was better than we expected. Overall, it was pretty good. The brisket was excellent.

My wife and I went here for dinner. Got everything to go. From the second you walk in there you’re treated with a loving smile and a fresh hello from the sweetest woman working the register. Before we even ordered she was asking if we wanted anything to drink. Told us we could bring in a beer from next door if we wanted to. She was amazing. The price for what we got was really good. Spent about 70 bucks. We didn’t have to wait to long for our food. The inside is small and cozy. It’s decorated with nice bright colors and cool looking items from all over the place. They even have outside seating if you’d like. Here comes the best part. We got the food home. Wow. The brisket was incredibly delicious. Soft and juicy and tasty. I can’t say enough how good it was. The piece was a pretty good size as well. The corn bread was good. The pulled pork was awesome. The Mac and cheese was incredible. Even the potato salad was good. The funny part about that was she told us it was freshly made so it might need salt and pepper. It didn’t. It was perfect. Nachos were good I just wish I didn’t get the beans on them. That’s my taste though. If you like ‘em get them. All around top to bottom front to back food and people were awesome. Even the small building was pretty cool. Give them a try. I can’t wait to go back and try something different on the menu. The one thing that did kind of stink was parking. You gotta find someplace to park on the street. Good luck and practice your parallel parking skills.

Excellent BBQ and great service! We ordered the 1/2lb pulled pork and 1/2lb brisket, which came with 2 sides and a corn muffin, and an order of 6 wings. All of the meat was tender, flavorful, and freshly cooked. The wings are massive! We ordered them with sweet chili (my favorite) and BBQ sauce. We got onion rings, sweet potato fries, and cole slaw as sides, everything tasted fresh and homemade. Even the corn muffin was fresh out of the oven and still warm when it got to our table. There were no leftovers - the portions are decent, but everything was just so good that our plates were cleared! We ordered a few corn muffins to go, which were great with coffee the next morning. As we ate, our server (possibly the owner?) checked in routinely, and had conversation with us about the restaurant and the area. Although we were the only customers dining in at the time, we overheard a number of call in and take out orders being placed - some for a few pounds of meat, some calling for just sides – goes to show that everything here is good. It seems like this spot is a favorite among locals, and possibly my new go-to BBQ joint in Worcester.
