Allegory is a cute, cozy, farm to table Cajun restaurant in the heart of downtown Naperville. I walk past it often and always think “I’d like to eat there some day” and I’m glad I did today! Our server, Adam, was super knowledgeable about the menu and super kind as well! I enjoyed the shrimp & grits which was delicious!! I’ve never had grits before but I hope they always taste like that ^_^ I also had the sugar plum sour which was as delicious as it was beautiful. Perfect flavors, not too strong, but definitely had me feeling some type of way. My friend had the mac and cheese with grilled chicken along with a cider, and really enjoyed both of them.

Had a great lunch here. The quality of the food, combined with the service by our waiter Adam and the ambience was unmatched. I got the sugar plum cocktail which tasted fantastic. My brother had the quiche and said it was one of the best he’s ever had. I got the chicken sandwich, which had a little too much peanut sauce for my taste, but that’s more of a personal preference. For dessert, you can’t go wrong with the key lime cheesecake.

Came here for a quick lunch. The cocktails were very good. Definitely try the sugar plum cocktail it is so good and I wish I had had a second one. Mac and cheese is on point, the chicken sandwich is too good HIGHLY recommend. You can’t really go wrong here. The only thing that wasn’t great was the amount of time we waited for drinks. Perhaps they were understaffed? Despite that everyone was friendly so overall it was a pleasant experience.

First time here and I have to say what a great experience. Beyond satisfied with our experience here. The “dad bod burger” is to die for. Love that this restaurant really promotes farm raised and grass fed. I also really appreciated our waitress Talissa who not only was very friendly but also incredibly helpful with the menu and had wonderful suggestions. Highly recommend this place and I will be coming back!

Just in town for the day. I was looking for a restaurant for lunch that was locally owned. I stopped in an was pleasantly surprised by the esthetic of the restaurant; beautiful lighting, original hardwood floors, cozy tables. I was greeted by my waiter, Dan, who instantly won me over with his warm welcome and engaging manner. At his recommendation I ordered the cheeses and Mac with blackened shrimp. I was not disappointed. In one word.... Incredible! I highly recommend this local restaurant and its cozy food experience.

It has the potential to be a great place, however on our visit it fell short in many ways. Parking is along the street and can be hard to find, I don't hold that against them, just letting people know what parking is like. There were 4 of us and we were seated at a 4 top table and one chair was a high chair so we traded it for a regular chair from another chair. We sat quite a while before our drink order was taken so we were ready to place our order by time he came to take our order. Some drinks were delivered in a timely manner however the server needed reminded when he brought the food out he had yet to bring one person's drink. The drinks were ok. However, I do not recommend a Moscow Mule as it was not made correctly at all. The Reuben was ok. The server said it was made with a unique sauce however it was just a basic sauce and the sandwich and fries were room temp. The salad tasted good until near the bottom of the salad there was a long black hair mixed in. Our server was not efficient in any way. We had to ask him for our bill then after waiting and waiting we had to ask him to take it. There are too many nice places with great service to go here.

Wonderful bistro in the heart of the city. Farm to table restaurant so you get healthy options and support the local economy. I had the Thai themed salad which had maybe a little more oil on it than needed but chicken tasted great as an add on. The burgers were great per my table mates! Reasonably priced, quick and efficient service. Definitely, check it out and give it some love.

We went there on Sunday around noon. My husband got the charcuterie board and I ordered the Belle of the ball salad and I added blackened shrimp. Everything was delicious!! The board had so many different and interesting pieces to it!! Each bite was a different flavor combination!! And my salad was delicious all around!! We also ordered the key lime cheesecake and the angel food cake to go!! Those were amazing as well!!! Fun atmosphere and great service too!!
