A staple in the Boise restaurant scene. This place has been good and consistent for decades. Cocktails are top notch. Wine list is nice. Very vibey atmosphere, it’s always dimly lit inside. Food is great - love the bread, salad and pan fried oysters. Service is always great - staff is so friendly and helpful. Definitely add this to your list if you haven’t been here yet.

Tucked away in the heart of Boise, ID, The Stagecoach Inn is more than just a place to eat—it's a journey through time, steeped in history and culinary excellence. As one of the city's oldest establishments, this restaurant has been serving patrons for decades, preserving its charm while offering some of the best steaks I've ever tasted. From the moment you walk through the doors, you're greeted with a warm, nostalgic ambiance that reflects the restaurant's storied past. The decor is a perfect blend of vintage elegance and comfort, with rich wooden furnishings, antique light fixtures, and walls adorned with photographs and memorabilia that tell the story of the restaurant's heritage. It's the kind of place where every corner whispers tales of the past, making it as much a museum as it is a dining venue. But the true star of this restaurant is undoubtedly the steak. Cooked to perfection, each bite melts in your mouth, bursting with flavor that can only come from top-quality cuts of meat expertly prepared by chefs who know their craft. Whether you prefer your steak rare or well-done, they get it just right every time, with a sear that locks in the juices and a seasoning that enhances the meat without overpowering it. It's no wonder this place has earned a reputation for serving the best steak in town. Adding to the experience is the incredibly friendly and attentive staff. From the moment you're seated, you're made to feel like a valued guest. The servers are knowledgeable, eager to recommend the best dishes, and genuinely invested in ensuring you have an unforgettable dining experience. Their warmth and professionalism are the perfect complement to the restaurant's historic charm. In summary, Stagecoach Inn is more than just a restaurant—it's a culinary institution. With its impeccable steaks, inviting atmosphere, and stellar service, it's a must-visit for anyone looking to indulge in a bit of history and a lot of flavor. Whether you're a local or just passing through, make sure to add this gem to your list of dining destinations.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Stage Coach Inn , and it was a Goated experience from start to finish. The ambiance of the restaurant was warm and inviting, with a charming rustic feel that really set the mood for a relaxing meal. The staff were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, making recommendations that didn't disappoint. The food was absolutely fantastic. I started with the shrimp cocktail, which was flavorful and perfectly prepared. For my main course, I had the Halibut, and it was cooked to perfection. Every bite was delicious, and the portion sizes were generous. The drink selection was also impressive. Overall, the Stage Coach Inn offers a great mix of comfort, quality, and tradition. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or just looking for a great meal, I highly recommend this restaurant. I’ll definitely be back!

Lived in Garden city all my life and have been coming to the STAGECOACH INN for years under multiple owners. My most recent experience was what I expected. Good food. Waitress was attentive. And the atmosphere allowed me to impress the people that I was with. Much better than the Bardenay.

My family and I have been patrons of The Stagecoach for approximately 50 years. It was always the restaurant we chose for all special occasions, and frequent out of town guests were always treated at The Stagecoach. I was a teen when my parents started taking us to your restaurant, sometimes as much as once a week. We loved the food, the waitresses and the ambiance of the restaurant. My daughter just told me of her experience in which her car was booted for parking in an adjacent lot, and she was forced to pay $200 to get the boot off. I'm so extremely furious about this. How can you dare do this despicable act to patrons? You should think about who you may be insulting. I will never ever return! As a side note...my family started going back to The Stagecoach after the change of ownership. The quality has gone way down. The salads which used to have slivered almonds now have sunflower seeds. The rolls used to be delicious sourdough rolls. Not anymore. Without telling her why, we asked the owner about the recipes which would've come with the buying of the restaurant, or so we thought. We were told that they would've had to buy the recipes separately so instead of buying them, they were "winging it." We wanted to tell her they needed to buy them. All of us who had steaks were in shock at how flavorless they were. I always choose the tenderloin tips (kebabs) and if it hadn't been for the gravy I don't think I could have eaten them. It didn't matter what type of steak, they were all completely flavorless. One thing to know about meat, is without seasoning it's simply a flavorless piece of food. None had any flavor from seasoning, not even a touch of salt and pepper. And the prices have gone way up, too. So I'm actually glad that I won't return. By the way, I think you should try the steaks at Golden Corral. They're delicious and seasoned beautifully. Even they have better steak than your restaurant.

Building has not been updated in what seemed like a century. My prime rib was ordered medium rare and it was well done. Waiter was very rude. Side dishes poorly flavored. I would not recommend.
