The Idaho Huckleberry drink is highly praised, and the patio offers a lovely dining experience along the Boise River. Food quality is generally exceptional, with standout dishes like sea bass and lemon chicken. While some diners have experienced slower service during busy times, the staff has been described as friendly and attentive overall. We went here for Valentines Day and were not disappointed. This is a very upscale restaurant with great service and a quiet and mature atmosphere. I would highly recommend experiencing this restaurant if you get the opportunity. The Idaho Huckleberry drink is off the charts!

This place is a bit upscale but is worth the ambiance being quieter than most places. They have a AWESOME patio where you can eat along the Boise river. Their food is above standard and well thought out. A great place if you want to be treated right, great food, a quite surrounding with servers well trained for their position. Edit and new review. We went in for happy hour and they were packed but got a table in 10 minutes and ordering our drinks thinking it would be a while but we got our drinks in like 5 minutes and all the different sharing plate came in another 5 minutes. I am very impressed with the quality of the food and the service is top notch h. Also here is their address if you want to put it in your gps. 913 w river Boise. Here some pics of our food and drinks

This has got to be one of the best restaurants I have ever visited. The wait staff is incredibly friendly, the atmosphere is regal, and the food has an out of this world flavor and fresh taste. Never before has such exquisite flavor ever graced my palate. Our waitress Chani was kind, charismatic, and welcoming. I felt like a Goddess throughout this entire dining experience and I will absolutely be back very soon.

We went to the Cottonwood for dinner prior to attending an event at 7:00. We arrived at 5:10 and left at 6:45 with our food in a to go bag! We sat in a booth in the bar. No one acknowledged us. No waitress til we asked. We inquired and found out that our waitress was the bartender and this was during happy hour! Finally, we were slowly being waited on. Drinks came in a timely manner. Salads took ten minutes. At 6:40 we knew we had to leave. Our check and food came faster than anything else. We walked to the event putting food in vehicle. I will say the sea bass and lemon chicken were very good. I would like to give the Cottonwood another chance. We didn't let this experience spoil our evening.

1st time visiting in a while. Went there on a friday evening. Place was packed, reservations highly recommended. Service was prompt and yeh servers were very helpful. They had kids menu, although the burger was very dry. Clams were amazing, fries on top of clams looked weird but so so delicious. Chicken was moist and amazing. They do charge to split a plate in the kitchen but the waitress offered to bring an extra plate for us to split. Nice ambience and if you are celebrating a birthday, you get a free dessert.

Cottonwood Grille has an excellent happy hour menu. However, you can only eat or drink in the bar area. When we went to happy hour prior to dinner, there was not even space available in the bar area to sit down, so we could not enjoy happy hour just a few feet away at our table. It is poor policy to limit happy hour to only the bar area and it makes no sence. That is not the case with most restaurants in town. Additionally, on the night we were there, there was a very large, busy and loud party in the banquet room attached to the main dining area. The doors were not closed and it was impossible to hold a conversation at our table.

My company hosted a business dinner for our customer at Cottonwood Grille, and the service and food could not have been better. Kennedy was the lead who took care of our group, and she was very attentive and on time with our large 16-person group. Our hats are off to Kennedy and the entire staff - thank you for a great evening and experience.

We had the Cobb salad and soup and salad. They were both great. Excellent service and atmosphere. There was a big fireplace and plenty of views outside. The Boise trail system goes right past the window of the restaurant. Everything was perfect.
