It was my first time in Augusta, GA, and The Chop House was good. Service was good. The food was a little salty, though. $5 for 1 and a half deviled eggs (which is 3) lol, but overall, it was good.

Wanted to try a nice steakhouse before I left for out of town. This one is rated high on Google. Arrived at 8pm. So it was barely any customers there. It took over an hour for the food to come. A $51 delmonico dry aged steak came out room temp. Lamb chops were dry, mac and cheese tasted like it's out of a box and the noodles were over cooked. The only good things were the soup and salad and the two ladies there were greeters at the door. I shouldve taken their suggestions and ordered the hamburger. Spending almost $200 on three dinners of room temp food is unacceptable. I'd never go back. My server was nice though.

I came here for lunch around noon. All the staff, from the host to our waitress, were extremely welcoming and accommodating. There was a party of maybe 12 that was sat before me, and even though their group was so large all of our food came out quickly. It was a great quick lunch. Lunch pricing was fair, establishment was clean. Had a great experience.

I have been here several times and I have tried the steak and the seafood pasta. This time I had the prime rib and I had sweet potato fries and creamed spinach on the side. The food was pretty good, but I can say I like the seafood pasta and their steaks much better. My only complaint this time is they have started charging for refills! Our waitress didn’t tell us and I didn’t see it on the menu. (Not unless I overlooked it and that can happen) But we paid $15 for four drinks. I got cherry coke and my daughter had tea. I’m not saying I won’t eat here again, but I will know next time to order water or have one drink only.

The Chop House in Augusta has been a go-to date night spot for my wife and me for years, and it never disappoints. Their steaks are made with choice beef cuts, always cooked to perfection, the pasta dishes are flavorful, and the sides round out the meal beautifully. Some of our personal favorites include the tamale cakes appetizer, crab cakes, blackened salmon, and of course, the ribeye—though, honestly, everything on the menu is solid. Beyond the food, the atmosphere is great for all kinds of occasions—whether it’s a casual night out, a birthday celebration, or a corporate meeting. They also have a spacious outdoor seating area that works well for larger parties. The full bar offers immediate seating, which is a nice perk if you're just stopping in for drinks. Another plus is the location—right in the heart of Augusta Mall. We love taking a stroll after a satisfying meal. One tip: definitely make a reservation online if you're planning to visit during peak dining hours; the wait can be long otherwise. This place continues to be one of our favorites, and we’ll keep coming back for years to come. Highly recommend!

My husband and I had lunch here today. The food was so good. And it came out so fast and was hot. I can see the team work. Our waitress Mercedes was so nice and friendly. I loved our appetizer and the salad was perfect. Will definitely eat here again.Great job guys you made my week!

I typically eat dinner here about 3 times per week. Today was very disappointing. I ordered the 14 oz ribeye. It looked more like the 12 oz. They brought my salad at the same time as my steak. To make it even worse was by the time I finished my steak they finally brought out the half shrimp that I had added when I ordered. I did not even touch the salad because then the main course would have been cold. Many times I order the prime rib and I understand that that is served quickly because it is already cooked and when I receive it I have eaten 2/3 of my salad which I understand and do not have a problem with it. However when you order a steak and the salad comes with the steak is poor service in my opinion.

We came for our anniversary and it was so worth it. Our waitress Kaitlyn was amazing and so sweet. She was very attentive and never once had to ask for anything cause she was on top of it. She gave us suggestions that we took and it was the best suggestions. Definitely coming back cause the food was amazing and flavorful. Definitely recommend to everyone. It is pricey but worth it.
