Customer Review Summary
Calvert's Restaurant is praised for its friendly service and pleasant atmosphere, making it a great choice for special occasions. Many diners enjoyed the food, highlighting dishes like the bacon wrapped shrimp and lobster Savannah. However, some reviews indicate inconsistency with food quality and portion sizes, with one guest expressing disappointment over overcooked seafood pasta. Price transparency is a recurring concern, as one reviewer was surprised by the high cost of the special without prior notice. Overall, while the restaurant appeals to those seeking elegant dining experiences, some guests feel that certain menu items do not justify their prices.

Took my hubby to Calvert’s to celebrate his birthday and it was worth it. From start to finish we had a wonderful time. Our server Trisha was very friendly. She told us all the specials for the evening and gave us time to decide what we wanted. We ordered the bacon wrapped shrimp to start. I had the lobster Savannah & my husband had the NY strip. The food was hot and delicious. After dinner my husband got a free slice of cake to celebrate. We will definitely return in the future for a date night!

I rarely give a 4 star review. My service was great, the atmosphere was wonderful but the food was just ok. I don’t expect this when going to a high end fine dining restaurant. I ordered the filet and seafood pasta. Meat was good4/5 but the seafood pasta was anything but. Over cooked angel hair pasta with two pieces of lobster….thats it. No other seafood in the overcooked pasta. No shrimp (which was advertised) or any other seafood. Very disappointed. I would not come back at the prices I paid to have sub par food. This was a Saturday night as well, I’d think they would be on top of their game.

This was an experience we won't be forgetting thanks to Debbie our waitress and the other staff. Just really a very smooth dining experience with great food and cocktails! The lobster savannah was the best I've ever had!

Went Saturday night with my wife's sister and her husband. It was my wife and my son and me. I knew the food was pricey and I didn't mind that. I give the service 2 stars for one reason. When server told us the "special" for the day, I admit I didn't ask for the price and she didn't say what it was. The highest entree on regular menu was around $65 so I figured the special was maybe $75. My son and I both ordered the special. Imagine my suprise when I go the bill and the special was $144 a plate. So before tip my bill was $415 for 2 specials, the fillet and pasta at $44, 2 teas, 1 $10 dessert (which was awesome) and 2 old fashioned cocktails $30. I was fine with the prices of everything and it wasn't a issue of couldn't afford but I would have expected to be told what I was ordering as an entree was more than twice the highest entree on the menu. The special was good but not $144 a plate good. I will not be back even though we enjoyed it but I felt taken advantage of by the price of the plates.

The food was good but small portions for the side dishes. Therefore, I would say it's overpriced!!! I ate afterward because it wasn't fulfilling enough. My meal was $50.

Always a good meal here. We had Terrence as our server and he's always the best! He talked me into the lobster and I was NOT disappointed! I mean, look at this thing! It was SO good. Such a cozy ambiance and great for celebration dinners.

This was my first time in years coming here to eat, so I knew I had to pay to play and the food was delicious. I ended up with the lobster surf and turf, and it was good since this was my first time eating lobsters (don't judge). If you want elegant food and don't mind paying for it, come here.
