Service received positive mentions for being friendly and attentive, with a few highlighting issues such as long wait times and disjointed bar service. My wife and I celebrated my birthday here and overall we had a great experience. The Canadian oysters were on point, I could have eaten an other dozen! The drinks were really good as well. Our server was super friendly and really stayed on top of things. The steak was cooked to perfection, but the only disappointment with steak was that the seasonings on the steak were charred a little too much, which made over half of my steak taste burnt 🙁. The dessert was AMAZING! I forgot the name but it was the lemon cake with ice cream. Sooo good! An other disappointment was having to wait 20 minutes although we had made reservations. We will definitely be back though!

We’ve eaten at restaurants around the world and it’s just hard to beat the food, service, and ambience at Ray’s In The City, in Atlanta, Georgia. My wife and I were visiting the area for a quick two day getaway. We stayed at the Ritz-Carlton and Ray’s was about a two minute or less walk. During my years in politics, we discovered this restaurant, but it had been quite sometime since we had eaten there. I can tell you that it was great back then, but even greater now. My wife enjoyed the Blackened Salmon and I ordered the Grilled Branzino stuffed with Lump Crab meat. We shared sides of whipped potatoes and cream spinach. We enjoyed a basket of the best bread anywhere, and a dessert of lemon cake with vanilla ice cream and blueberries. The fish dishes were flawless! Every single thing was superb! Can’t wait to go back again!

If you want a nice ambiance, this place is great. If you want just about anything else, then keep lookin'. 👀👀 Food: 2/5 ✨ - All our food *looked* beautiful. 🤩 But on the front of taste, it was like the kitchen couldn't find the salt (and that's coming from a light-salter. Also, how is this problem even POSSIBLE in Mac-N-cheese?!? Shocked. 🧀). For the price(!!! $$$), this issue is simply unacceptable and completely disappointing (to the point of feeling offended - dramatic, yes, yet accurate). Being the kind people that we are, we were (at first) reluctant to say anything, but c'mon...If we're paying $400+ for dinner, it should at least have par seasoning to bring out the natural flavors of the food. I think that's a perfectly fair expectation. So, we felt it was important to (nicely! Be kind, people.) communicate this lacking feature, especially given the name recognition of the restaurant. Our server was very generous, and appreciated our transparency. We didn't even want to risk getting dessert - we were ready to go. Drinks: 1/5 ✨ - The organization of the bar was disjointed, at best. We ordered a dirty Martini, which (we guess) got mixed up with a lemon drop, resulting in a disgusting concoction (he says it was like drinking dish water 🤢). Waiting for the replacement took 15 minutes. The system of keeping the drinks in the shaker until pickup for table delivery, while likely(?) intended to keep the drinks cold, clearly has significant risk of mixing up (pun intended) orders. Again, at the price, they need to go back to the drawing board. The star awarded here is purely for the wine, which we eventually opted for as the safest option. Service: 3/5 ✨ - Our server was very nice, but again, the wait times were unfortunate. Then the lacking quality of the food made our server the second best feature of the restaurant, after the ambiance. Keep trying, Ray. You'll (hopefully) get there eventually.

The food was delicious! When we walked in on New Year’s Day, two employees were watching football, a male and a female; we weren’t greeted at all. I had to walk in and ask do we seat ourselves for them to even say anything. This was our first time eating at Ray’s. The hostess had a leg injury but she was moving as fast as she could and she was very sweet. Besides the lack of hospitality when entering, I’d say the cleaning of the dishes should be better. We had a small plate that had food stuck to it and my wine glass had spots. All in all I would recommend to others, as stated before the food was AMAZING!!!! Very flavorful! Our waiter was great and friendly.

Best dinner I’ve had while in Atlanta! Had great cocktails (Lemon Drop Martini), amazing steak and lobster tail, Warm Butter Cake and coffee for dessert. Would order everything again. Highly recommend, five stars! (And Armani was sooo accommodating! Originally had two separate reservations and she was so great to let both groups combine into one. GREAT customer service and also great wait staff.) I wish Ray’s had a location in my hometown in Arkansas!

Wow! The food was absolutely incredible. I had the seafood platter. The mixed seafood crab cake was my favorite on the plate. I substituted for grits, and the cheesy grits were tremendous. Well done …and the illuminated check cover was great for my old eyes to read the bill. lol

The walkin was not welcoming so I was ready to leave already. 2 people standing near the entrance a male and female did not even speak but waited for a seasoned lady with a limp to greet us. I had a Caeser salad and the linguine and my date had the scallops. The plate had leftover food on it so after getting my food I took a 2go box. The reheat was amazing. The shrimp were large and fresh.
