We recently visited the Vagabond Korean Steakhouse and it was a pretty interesting experience. We arrived a few hours before closing on a Friday evening and there was a little bit of a wait but it wasn't too bad. I was a little worried about the 2 hour dining limit but we had about an hour and 45 minutes after the hour wait. The host and hostess were okay but our server seemed to be a little preoccupied or just not very attentive. He didn't really explain the accoutrements that accompanied the meal despite letting him know that it was our first visit to this establishment. There were many times that we were looking for him to put in our next protein order and another wait staff member had to get him for us. Some other server kept turning down our grill while we were cooking our proteins making it longer to cook each one. This location makes you order 3 proteins at a time and you can order another 3 once you complete the previous ones. There were quite a few options but a lot of them seemed redundant and there wasn't very many sauce/marinade options. A lot of the proteins were also cut very thick for Korean BBQ so it made the grill burn quite easily and took a while to cook to proper temperature. Additional to the proteins they had a few sides that were pretty good including some sort of corn cheese dish that wasn't very authentic but I highly recommend it out of all the sides. The steam eggs weren't very good and seemed microwaved or something as they weren't very smooth and a little bit chewy which and was very different than the traditional steamed eggs that I've had. Overall, it was okay but I've had better experiences at other Korean BBQs.

First time visiting. 1-24-25. This place was the bomb! EVERY thing was delicious. Was a little hesitant about cooking our own food at the table but it was so easy. The sauce that’s at the table matched all the meat/seafood perfectly. I consider myself a foodie and since moving to Jacksonville we haven’t found a place to crave and now we have one. Server was attentive and explained things just fine.

This is my first time coming to a buffet with high-quality food and all you can eat. The experience and food were amazing, hands down, and I will definitely return. You will definitely get your money worth.

Tried this restaurant for the first time tonight. The whole family enjoyed the food...Appetizers, sides all fantastic. We tried about five different meats, and enjoyed all of them. Our server made a few recommendations for us that were right on target. Modern, upbeat urban decor and vibe! Service was great, even though we dined late at night. I highly recommend trying this place. You cook the meat at a grill on your table. It was a lot of fun and we will definitely be back soon!

If you're craving an Korean BBQ and the traditional banchan experience, look no further because Vagabond Korean Steakhouse is the spot. We normally drive down to Gainesville to visit another KBBQ spot and suffice to say, we'll be saving the mileage on our car and coming here instead. High quality meat, fresh banchan, and great service. Can't wait to return! The vibe of the place is also great so you can bring friends or make it date night. There is a 2 hour time limit, but I didn't feel rushed at all, nor did they seem to artificially slow down the 'refills' of meat. You do have to order 3 proteins on the first order, but after those three you can order a half portion or full portion for each additional round. As a huge fan of kimchi, I should note theirs is quite good, but very basic and it is more geotjeori than kimchi. Geotjeori and kimchi are essentially the same, but geotjeori is fresh kimchi before it's fully pickled and fermented. It is also not very spicy and it has no shrimp paste in it, so it's safe for those who don't like spicy food and/or have a shellfish allergy.

I love coming here for KBBQ! It has a nice atmosphere, the food and appetizers are always so delicious! We went here for my birthday dinner and our server Vanessa went above and beyond to make sure that we had everything we needed, our food came out fast, she changed our grill frequently to prevent burning the meat, and gave us tips on how to cook the meats perfectly! I love their unlimited appetizer menu too, so many to choose from. My favorites are the popcorn chicken, steamed egg, corn cheese, house salad, and I also love their beef bulgogi & Hawaiian pork belly. Will definitely come back again!

Fun experience and great service. We arrived right around 5 PM on a Thursday. They started to get busier when we were leaving. Our server was very nice and explained the menu to us and their policies. The AYCE was around $32 plus $2.50 for ice tea/soda. The AYCE price included the sides already at the table when we arrived, any appetizers and protein of your choice. They will only bring 3 protein choices out at a time per table. They continuously come by and ask if you want anymore meat. Your table is limited to two hours, and there's a waste charge if you do not eat what you order. Many of the beef options had more fat than actually meat. Some had little to no flavor. They do have dipping sauces. The chicken and shrimp options were good. We enjoyed the experience and will probably go back to try more of the protein options.

Ambiance, service, and food were excellent today. If you're complaining about having to cook the food at the table yourself, you should never eat at a place like this because you don't know quality, not cultured, lazy, and should stick with fast food instead. Everything at Vagabond is great, and so was our server, Alan. Super chill guy and on point with service. The price is super reasonable. Be sure to get the L.A. KALBI, Steamed egg, Korean bacon, Cajun shrimp, spicy pork. The cut, marinade, and portion is perfect. Side dishes are awesome as hell. Order the CHEESE CORN!! It's sooooo good! Quit reading this and head to this place NOW! SERIOUSLY! Be sure to get Alan and hook him up with a fat tip. He deserves the best. Don't be cheap on tip, yo!
