Customer Review Summary

The reviews for Morton's The Steakhouse present mixed experiences. A vegetarian guest found the tofu dish lacking flavor but enjoyed the truffle fries. Most meat dishes received praise from the non-vegetarian members of the party. Another reviewer celebrated exceptional service and a fun atmosphere during a birthday celebration, praising the food quality, especially the steak and desserts. Some diners noted high-quality steaks but criticized the heavy use of salt. A satisfied guest appreciated the upscale dining atmosphere and attentive service. On the other hand, a company dinner went poorly due to inadequate heating and slow service, resulting in undercooked meat and dissatisfaction. A couple celebrating their anniversary was impressed by attentive service and noted the steak as exceptional, despite finding the cod dish subpar.

As a vegetarian with mostly meat eating friends, I’ve learned that the sides at these types of establishments can be amazing! After looking at their menu online, I saw they had a tofu dish and was sold. So I chose this restaurant for my group. It was also a convenient location given our evening plans. The tofu dish was not the greatest at all. It lacked any flavor. The spinach it was served atop was decent and that’s what made the tofu palatable. I also had the truffle fries which were actually delicious. The rest of my party had steak and lamb dishes along with salads and were all pleased with their meals. As a vegetarian who’s VERY aware of the type of restaurant this is… but also recognized their “effort” to accommodate the non meat eaters, I do not recommend this place. With the one dish for us, there could’ve been more effort put into it.

I came here for 2 birthdays and every single time you guys provide a great experience. Except the second time I came it was theeee BEST. Thank you Sean and Justin at the bar for just providing phenomenal service, so fun and natural. I laughed alllllll night even the guest were great. I tried so many drinks. When it was all said and done I had so much fun that I forgot to take my Togo box with me 🤣. I will be back for sure. I ordered crème brûlée, steak, lobster, asparagus, loaded mashed potatoes, the stuff oysters (TWICE) ! Ugh just 🤌🏾🤌🏾 chefs kiss. Thank you for being GREAT HOSTS

Does not compare to cowford. They do provide a nice picture for your event. The steak is a great cut. They need to really cut back on the salt. The chocolate cake is awesome . The cocktail drinks are worth the stop by

I almsot never have the opportunity to order a steak rare, the way I really like it. I save this privilege for steakhouses that are particularly upscale and that I know I can confidently order a cut of meat that is going to be full of flavor, excellent quality, and cooked to perfection whatever the temperature. This was my idea of a really good steak. It was the perfect amount of food and I left the restaurant feeling satisfied. The location is conveniently located near the Jacksonville performing arts center so if you have the opportunity to see a show there, you have a few nice options in the area for a restaurant beforehand or after.

My family brought me to Morton’s steakhouse to celebrate my birthday dinner. Morton’s has set a high bar for a birthday dinner. Their attention to detail is unmatched when creating a dining experience. Our server, Kelly was attentive and her service was top notch. She made my birthday very special. Overall, the entire Morton’s team did a phenomenal job during my visit. Absolutely BRILLIANT!

Upscale dining in a business casual atmosphere! Service was on point and our waitress, Jen, was terrific! Our glasses were always full and she did a great job timing our courses as they came out. We had the Cajun Ribeye which was tender perfection. For dessert, the Molten Chocolate Lava Cake was recommended accompanied by a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

We hosted a company dinner here for 20 people. They told us when we made the reservation we would be seated on the patio with heat lamps. We said as long as there are enough heat lamps for people to be comfortable, that’s fine. We get there and they have 2 heat lamps for 20 people. This is not acceptable as it was in the 40s that evening. One heat lamps was running out of propane and it took us escalating to the manager to finally get new propane over halfway through the dinner. Many guests were shivering. Our reservation was at 6:30. We had one server who was also tending a make-shift bar they set up for us on the patio. She was incredibly slow bringing the courses. So much so, that our entrees didn’t arrive until 9:45pm (after we complained to management). Everyone’s meat was undercooked (pictured was a steak that was supposed to be MEDIUM). And people were so frustrated and tired, most took dessert to go. This was not the experience we paid for or wanted to provide our staff. The manager on duty was unhelpful and slow to respond to the issues we brought up to him. We will never host another dinner here again. Which is disappointing because we frequently brought parties here in the past.

Arrived around 815pm for our anniversary dinner and I believe our waiter name was Robert. He was a pleasure. He steered us in the ride direction of which wine we should have for our orders. Helped us decide which appetizer would be best for what we wanted. They even took a picture of us and gave us a card for our anniversary. The customer service was so good it was such a highlight of night really and truly. The steak was the best streak we have ever ever had. The cod fish was okay. Cod is my choice of fish but It tasted like miso soup and it wasn’t easy to break off, as cod fish is flaky. We had the Oregon earth wine and I loved it.
