Customer Review Summary

The reviews for Ruth's Chris Steak House highlight a mix of experiences. Many diners praise the quality of the steaks, with specific mentions of the boneless ribeye and filet, suggesting the prix fixe menu for good value. The food is often described as heavenly, particularly the creamed spinach and bread pudding, with a few standout dishes like seafood gumbo and crab cakes also receiving positive feedback. Service is frequently noted as attentive, friendly, and helpful, contributing to an overall enjoyable dining atmosphere. However, there are criticisms regarding the restaurant's decor, which some found outdated and unattractive for the high-price point, affecting their overall experience. While most reviews are positive and recommend making a reservation, a couple express disappointment in the flavor of the food at specific visits and suggest improvements to the restaurant’s ambiance. Overall, the food quality and service receive high marks, but the atmosphere is seen as a downside by some patrons.

One of the best meals I’ve ever had in Connecticut. I’ve been trying to go here for at least 10 years and finally made it happen. If it’s your first time, I highly suggest doing the prix fixe menu. It’ll save you a few bucks and you’ll get to try a couple of different things. The steaks are cooked Peter Luger style: just salt and pepper on the steak, cooked, then put in a blazing hot broiler with clarified butter poured over the top. I upgraded my prix fixe steak to the boneless ribeye and was not disappointed. Sprinkled just a little salt on it and after a few cuts, all the flavors melded together and it was heavenly. The creamed spinach was sole of the best creamed spinach I’ve ever had and I don’t know if anything goes better with a steak in my opinion. For the starter, I got a seafood gumbo which was bigger than I thought it would be and pretty damn close to some of the ones I had in New Orleans. My gf got the filet prix fixe with a Caesar salad starter. I will say that the Caesar salad was the only thing I “didn’t like” but I didn’t like it because she had gotten anchovies on it. Do yourself a favor and if you do get the prix fixe, spend the extra $4 to upgrade your dessert from a small little piece of cheesecake to anything else. I got the bread pudding and it blew me away. It was almost like a Rice Krispies treats bread pudding. Absolutely astounding. I can’t wait til I go back.

This is a high-end dining experience. The steaks cost between $60 and $100 each (though there is a 40 oz tomahawk that costs $150). You really get what you pay for though, the steaks are incredible. The steaks come "a la carte", which means nothing comes with them so you have to order sides separately. Which is a bit of a bummer considering how expensive the steaks are. The sides are expensive too, they're quite large but I wasn't wowed by them. My pictures aren't great, trust me you won't be disappointed by the quality of the steaks.

This location has now been visited by us twice. This time was just as good as the first years ago. The food was heaven. Every. Single. Dish. The waitress (Kasey) along with the staff that brought out the food and even doggy bagged it were respectful, polite, had enough personality that there were laughs and that means a lot. We had a great night and we appreciated the services there. We recommend it! Make a reservation!

I celebrated my engagement dinner here this past Friday 12/6 and I couldn't be happier with our dining experience. Everything was amazing, from the food to the service it was truly a magical evening.

This is usually my go to in Atlantic city so I gave it a try at this location and was very disappointed the food had no flavor but our server was really kind and attentive enjoyed our time here regardless just wish they would season the food like AC

Just ate here. Food was good. Service was great and we were well taken care of. My only complaint is that the restaurant is so outdated it makes me not want to be there. It feels like I’m living in 2008 in a mid level hotel lobby. Given the price of the entrees the atmosphere should be way better. I’ve been to many locations and this one is by far the worst as far as atmosphere is concerned. So cheesy. Teal accents all over the walls and brown woven chairs mixed with green and brown patterned chair bottoms. I genuinely have never seen a more outdated restaurant and I expected more out of Ruth’s Chris. The atmosphere should match the prices and the upscale vibe but the atmosphere makes me wish I was at Cracker Barrel. Wish they cared about the whole vibe and not just the food. I can genuinely say I will never be back because the atmosphere was that bad. Anyways, the service was great and our waiter was awesome!

Absolutely amazing! Worth every penny. The service was attentive and funny, the food was delicious and although it was crowded, the booths made it feel very private and cozy

We stopped in for happy hour one Tuesday evening, we were pleased with all the options on the happy hour menu however $2. Off per drink isn’t the greatest deal. Loved how our food was served on sizzling plates, the filet and Shrimp were absolutely amazing! We also shared the chicken frites, chicken was outstanding and the fries were very addictive. We did start with some crab cakes that are an absolute must try, there is a lot of real crab, and not filled with heavy breading. The only negative I have is that everyone who had mashed potatoes with their meal were served Luke warm potatoes. Overall we were very pleased with everything we ordered and would definitely return again
