Customer Review Summary
Overall, diners enjoyed their experience at Saltgrass Steak House, praising the delicious food, particularly the steaks, which were often described as tender and perfectly cooked. Appetizers like queso and salads received positive remarks, although some dishes, such as enchilada soup and certain sides, were less favored. The restaurant ambiance felt outdated to some, with loud noise levels making conversation difficult on busy nights, but the staff was consistently noted for their friendliness and attentive service. Families appreciated the kid-friendly atmosphere, and the overall dining experience left many wanting to return despite the high prices. The decor featured rustic and Western elements, but a cleaner atmosphere was suggested for improvement. Special occasions brought diners back, especially given the quality of dishes and enjoyable desserts, like carrot cake and pumpkin cheesecake.

We came here for our anniversary on a Wednesday night and it was full of people! Thankfully we had a reservation! We got the queso with chips and it was delicious! It made us almost full just by itself. The Caesar salad was also delicious! The enchilada soup wasn't great, too soupy and not creamy or thick. I got the filet with the Mac and cheese. The steak was probably the best one I got ever. It melted in my mouth and it was just so good. The Mac and cheese was sticky, I wouldn't order it again but It was still ok. My husband got the t-bone with fires. The fires were average but again the meat was so soft and melted in the mouth. Their bread is also delicious! Prices are high, but for a once in a while kind of dinner it was the best food ever!

When calling to make a reservation, the staff was nice and pleasant. Overall enjoyed our food and the staff, but would recommend not going on a holiday as it was very loud in the restaurant. This place is kid-friendly with highchairs, children's menu (though crossword is a bit hard), and changing tables in both restrooms. Upon stepping into this restaurant, find yourself surrounded by wooden tables and chairs with red leather seats, leather booths, carpeted floors which could have used a good clean, rock pillars, rustic barn wood, old metal signs, and mounted deer. The yellow napkins standout amongst the rest of the setting. Straws automatically come with each drink, but surprisingly we had to ask for a spoon for the ice cream we got during dessert. The following can be found on the table: A1 or 57, sugar (white, pink, blue, yellow), plus salt and pepper. Check was presented in a leather folder with restaurant name and logo. Plenty of parking available and an accessible location.

First time. Not everything was to our particular liking, but the sirloin steaks were cooked as ordered, tender, and tasty. Salad was okay, mashed potatoes were good, broccoli had too much stalk and was bland with no seasoning, and fries were basic and needed seasoning of some sort to notch them up. The carrot cake was a great splurge, and easily split 3 ways. Our server was pleasant, patient, and efficient. Though the restaurant was not filled, the acoustics were not good, and it made conversation more challenging. The decor was Western/Texan, but the atmosphere was more like a sports bar with all the TVs on - also not to our personal liking.

While there was a short wait despite many empty tables (likely due to staffing issues), the overall experience was still acceptable. Once seated, our waiter promptly attended to us, offering friendly service throughout. The steak was the highlight, perfectly cooked and delicious. I'd say the rest of the dishes were fairly average. I think the ambiance felt a bit outdated, I can't quite pinpoint it, perhaps just the lack of vibrancy or energy that I expected. Still, the great service and steak make it worth a visit.

It was a wonderful experience, well after we got around the traffic accident at academy and jamboree. The food was awesome and service wonderful. Thank you, Jacqueline! The bread was incredible! And the pumpkin cheesecake was to die for!

This has become our go-to place when celebrating special occasions. We'd love to go more often but it's a little too pricey for my budget to go very often. The wait staff were excellent. They checked on us just often enough to take care of our needs, yet not being intrusive to our conversations. The food was delicious and presented in an appetizing way. This made for a very enjoyable dining experience. It would be nice to have a little quieter atmosphere, but noise seems to be the modern way of doing things. It's be nice if there were some cubbyholes off to the side that were more private and conducive to conversation. Our waitress, Tiffanie was excellent. She was very personable and helpful. She made us feel welcome and important. I highly recommend her. She got our order correct and was helpful in other ways as well. We always look forward to going back! I hope we can do it sooner rather than later!
