Customer Review Summary
Sutter's Mill Restaurant is a beloved family dining spot that offers good food at fair prices. The prime rib is particularly praised, though some sides may seem pre-made. The atmosphere is warm and comfortable, reminiscent of simpler times, but not trendy. Service is consistently noted as delightful and attentive. While some diners find prices slightly high for the quality, others feel the value is excellent compared to higher-end steakhouses. Overall, it's highly recommended for delicious, classic meals in a cozy setting.

Good ole Family Restaurant. If you're looking for trendy and hip - go elsewhere. If you're looking for good food at fair prices, this is the place for you. The Prime Rib was good! I had better, but not at this price-point. The loaded potato appeared pre-made and "heat-lamped" but was still pretty good. If you're looking for a good dinner and not a top-noch-fine-dining then you should stop at Sutter's Mill

I take my family here when I want to celebrate special occasions. It takes me back to a more simple time - when families sat down for a meal together. And the FOOD!!! 😱 DELICIOUS. I have had the 8oz and 12oz prime rib, as well as the rib eye steak. All were phenomenal! (I love the prime rib!) The twice baked potato is fabulous! Service is great. And I just love the atmosphere. So warm and homie. If you are looking for trendy, this is not it. But if you want good food for a good value THIS IS THE BEST!

We were visiting from out of town. Steaks were amazing. Sides were okay. Wedge salad was awesome. The decor is dated bit it feels really comfortable and welcoming. I wouldn't change it if I could. Lots of wood and velvet. The server was delightful.

Came to celebrate my Boyfriend's birthday and was not disappointed. Our waitress Donna, was such a sweet lady. Everything tasted so good and the service was great. We will definitely be back. I highly recommend Sutter's Mill

This is by far the juiciest, tastiest, delicious prime rib I’ve ever had! I’m new to Simi and live close by and decided to try it out for my birthday weekend! Best choice I’ve made! I’ll definitely come back, I continuously highly recommend it to all! Love the dirty martinis and the excellent service provided by Luther! Best Prime Rib in Ventura County!

My husband and I, actually really enjoyed our dinner and experience here but I will explain why I wasn't able to give this establishment 5 stars. The prices were a little too steep for their food quality. Don't misunderstand me. The food was delicious but by no means anywhere near a Fleming's Steakhouse quality. You could pay a little bit more and go to Fleming's. On the other hand, you may just want to stay close to home or might not be able to get to a Fleming's or a steakhouse as good as a Fleming's. In that case, I would recommend to give this place a try. Another little issue we had, was that we ordered our prime rib to be cooked medium rare and they brought it to us, medium. We didn't bother sending it back because it was still flavored very well, just not as juicy as we like. The creamy horseradish was more like, barely flavored sour cream, but my husband liked it that way. We also ordered the stuffed mushrooms, for an appetizer, and those were just "ok". They do have a delicious deep fried cheese cake, and that came with coffee. The decor is very cozy and made for a great ambience! Our bill, before tip, was $112.00. This included; 2- ice teas, 1- 12oz. prime rib dinner, 1- 16oz. prime rib dinner, 1- appetizer and 1- dessert. If you decide to give this place a try, I hope you have a great experience!

Hidden Gem of Simi Valley . Why is this restaurant not packed On a Saturday night. We have lived in Simi Valley for over a year and had never been. Unassuming exterior with an old style steak house inside. Not pretensiouss like the other two options in Simi, great food for the value. A must to go and eat we will be back

Literally 5 stars everywhere. Super attentive server, AMAZING steak, (filet to die for) and ambiance like a fine old style steakhouse. You feel like the building has outlived the establishment of the entire sitting when you walk in!
