Food is very good. The experience of being there not so good. We went for a dining experience and received just the opposite. I could have cooked an equally good dinner at home for 1/5 the price and had a much better time. The hostess thanked us when seating us for being nice to her even though we waited 35 minutes for a table, even with a reservation. The indifferent waiter was AWOL most of the time. Even when it wasn't busy in the restaurant. After waiting 35 minutes to get seated it took another 30 minutes to get a waiter and get a drink. The waiter seemed to be stuck in the 50s as well. When he asked if I wanted the wedge salad whole or chopped and I said whole he said , "the manly way". When he delivered the filet to me and the sea bass to my girlfriend and I switched the plates to the correct person he said, "I'm sorry usually the man gets the steak". We had to pile plates on top of each other and place them at the end of the table for anyone to pick them up as they sat dirty in front of us for 15 minutes. Between salads and dinner my girlfriend wanted another glass of wine. We couldn't find the waiter and after 5 minutes I walked over to the bar. The bar was empty and the bartender was just handling the service bar but he seemed harried and overwhelmed. I asked him for a glass of wine and he said he didn't have any there. Back to table and forget the wine. The waiter asked how dinner was as I was placing last bite in my mouth. He then disappeared again and we had to eventually pile our plates up again at the end of the table to get them cleared. The restaurant was half empty at this point. We were seated 35 minutes after our reservation. We waited forever for the waiter to deliver even the tiniest of tasks. The waiter never smiled nor engaged us, simply went about his work in a robotic manner. Why did we waste the time and money on this? I never will again. I've been to Capital Grill, Mastros, Ruth Chris, etc. They all have good steaks as well. The difference is they at least show some interest in your dining experience. And in every one of those other restaurants I am either visited by or see the manager walking the floor, checking on people's experience. We never saw the manager once that night anywhere in the restaurant. In summary the food was good. Salads ridiculously large, share one. The service and attitude and experience of the staff were abysmal. What a waste of time and money. The ambience and food and prices suggest a fine dining establishment. The reality is you feel more welcome and catered to at an In-N-Out. Don't waste your precious time and money here. They don't seem to care about your experience, they just we ant your money. They are resting on laurels and taking their eye off the ball. I'm sure the restaurant won't bother responding to this review.

The wife and I went here for New Year's Eve for dinner. They had gold and black balloons everywhere as part of their New Year's decor. Food was excellent! We had the bread and crab cakes for starters. The 2 crab cakes were huge patties! We were only able to eat 1 and had the other to go. Lobster bisque was so good and creamy. New York Wagyu steak medium rare was seasoned perfectly. I probably could've just used a butter knife instead of the steak knife to cut it! It was so tender and didn't need any additional toppings at all. The side of garlic mashed potatoes had a really good texture and very garlicky. It was a large serving that could've been easily good for 4 people! The service staff was cheery and festive tonight! Judson was very attentive and on point. He always checked up on us and made sure everyone was ok. Will definitely be back.

First time was Grammy nite Sunday. The four of is had a birthday celebration. Kitty was our server. She was charming and pointed out some unique history about the non- corporation Larsons. Menus were clean and sharp looking. So we tookna while looking and deciding. Kitty was patient and helpful with questions. And made a special chef visit to see if my prime rib, on Sundays, was rare. And it was!, And a big piece too. Another famous restaurant called Tamoshanter, in Glendale, has famous Prime rib. I have performed there as a bagpiper for years ( bagpipeplayers.com ) And!! Larsens rib was equal, and the horseradish was perfect. The cheese covered fresh bread was lovely. And came with onion/balsamic and butter spread. The salad wedge was chopped and crisp. What a great meal. And a nice big table booth. My friends had nice filets and chicken. Apparently there were a couple of seafood items that were sold out, which is not common, I hear. Thanks LS for a special dinner and celebration. Great job Kitty on professional service.

The place is very big and looks great but pretty empty. So you lack the vibes you get on other LA steakhouses. The food is ok. Starters were not that good, steaks were ok and the sides were the best aside from the mash potatoes, which was nothing but creamy. Great service, but I'd rather go to other steaks houses that are more traditional and have the right vibe.

One of my favorite steakhouses. The meat specially the beef is very good and they cook it exactly the way you want it whether it's rare or well done. The service is excellent. Great wine selection. Great appetizers. They even have happy hour and live music. Little bit pricey but well worth it. Definitely I would go again.

Last visit: 7/2022. By far the best Oyster Rockafeller we have found!! My husband and I would visit this place to spend time in their shaded outdoor atmosphere, drinks, fine dining, and we would always order the oyster Rockefeller... sometimes twice in one visit. This place is very enjoyable.
