Used a gift card for an extravagant meal. It was raining and we were coming from the South Bay, which made us late for our reservation. There was no problem moving the reservation back or getting the type of table we preferred. The restaurant was very accommodating. The food was good, the porterhouse could’ve used a bit more salt/seasoning. Shrimp cocktail was great. French onion soup hit the spot on a cold night. It seems like a good place to “easily” gather with friends.

Excellent service and drinks, steaks are good and cooked well, the house bread is huge and really good with the butter. Staff were professional and attentive. Asked for medium but should order medium rare. Get the dryage, it’s superior to the regular rib eye. We came per dress code but saw that the staff is pretty lax with the dress code, some guests were not business casual, quite casual infact, I see they do enforce no hats but that’s about it.

Morton steakhouse is right off Union Square. when you enter, you have to go downstairs for the main dining room. They used to have valet service, but you now you’ll have to park on your own. They no longer bring the cuts of meat to your table, but the steaks are still fantastic and they’re always cooked. Perfectly. I like the ambience for our New Year’s Eve celebrations. It’s quiet but with enough energy to make it fun. Of the several times we came here there was only one time when the steak wasn’t cooked perfectly as if the salamander wasn’t working properly, but they made it right. The desserts are classic. Overall we still like coming here.

This was my second time visiting here in 7 years. This time we were a party of four. We had a momentous, three hour long dinner. From all the appetizers we tried to my filet mignon to the amazing chocolate cake at the end of our meal, everything was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection! Our host made our dinner an even more wonderful experience with his attentive service. Morton's will always be our first choice for steak when visiting San Francisco.

Upon entering, we were greeted with smiles & offered to be seated where we chose. The waiter was attentive, welcoming, patient, & professional! Lastly, dinner was delish & steaks were prepared perfectly! Can’t wait to return!

I walked into this place unannounced at ~9 pm, and the host greeted me and showed me to a table with a smile. I ordered a medium-rare steak with a side of sour cream mashed potatoes, which were both fantastic and top of the world. The steak was done to perfection. Juicy and warm red on the inside & delivered a pack of flavors in each bite. I am super happy that, though it was an impulse pick, this was the restaurant I chose for dinner for the night!
